^ Well, sanding really helps in making the primer and paint stick to the plastic, it helps in making the colors come out evenly even if it's very subtle. It is also an effective way of eliminating nubs and preventing them from bulking up after painting.

Anyway nice job for a first attempt in painting. Looking forward to your finished work.

yes but i haven't put any Ranka stickers and decals on it yet because it got many of em.

I looked up the Nightingale a while back and all I could think of was "Holy shit that thing is huge." It also reminded me of the AMX-002 Neue Ziel somehow.

Only problem is that I've never done any conversion work before in my life, it's all been straight builds, nothing else.

Why not making Nightingale as your first conversion kit ? They're tutorials about it on google/youtube I think.

well,either you use golden gundam marker or golden gundam color and don't make such a mess,you'll be fine.

how bout tamiya enamel paint? any suggestions?

tamiya's huh? haven't tried that one.
just experiment and you'll know which is the best one.
