The closest thing I got relating to this was being banned from the computer during my sophomore year in HS cause my little brother got bad grades >_> The most ridiculous reason to get banned and I didn't do shit.

Got banned from Nihonomaru for knowing someone the Admin didn't like... But she's known to be a royal bitch so it didn't really come as a surprise.

Got a perm-ban from NarutoFan when i posted a pic from Berserk of a demon-horse with a donkey dick about to rape some girl, but i managed to wiggle my way out of that one luckliy.
Since then i've got alot of undeserved temp-bans for flaming, but as long as you know in which section the overly touchy mods are you're safe.

Got a temp-ban on Fakku too for some guro pics that i didn't even know we weren't allowed to post, but it was only two days so no big deal.

I believe actions should be taken when something deserving of a ban is done, perhaps had they banned be for other things i've done in the past I would have been more apt to agree but I feel it sends mixed signals to people when you don't ban for one particularly large event and do ban for something that could be considered normal behavior on any forum.

Also, what do i care about privacy, the ban was mine, I believe I should be able to talk about it if I wish. I'm not sure how much that "scene would have reflected poorly on me, I don't think anyone really thinks I crossed the line when calling him and idiot (something everyone on this great forum of ours does, yourself included).

I can honestly say that the moment I saw those red words of death was the moment I would consider my worst on Fakku, to be banned for a poor reason when I have given better reasons in the past just strikes me as wrong... especially knowing that many (with better reputations than my own) other users agree with me.

Could it be that the mods are just letting you know they're going to start getting serious, and let you know with a minor offense.. versus just outright murdering you with something serious like an IP ban?

I think it's the fact that they banned him for something so little, when in fact it was because he's done a bunch of shit in the past. Instead of saying he was banned for being an ass, they said it was for that one comment.

Yes, but there could also be logic in him getting a slap on the wrist over something small and letting him know that kind of behavior isn't going to be accepted, so he knows before he feels like making a night out of being an ass towards someone, he might want to reconsider. Because if he gets a temp ban for something small, what's going to happen if he does something major?

nah, I talked to Jacob, seems he might simply have overreacted to my recent sparring with Angelus which often turn into Angelus hate threads.

I don't mind when others agree with me but as I can;t control them it often escalates to a point that I did not intend. Nothing I can do about it but it always seems that I still take all the credit. I think that's one of the reasons some people think I "influence" other users.

Mm, I forget the psychological term behind it that I learned in school. But it only takes one person to start a mob. You push somebody, somebody pushes back - another person gets shoved in the cross fire, they shove back.

Kinda like when you watch a foodfight on TV in high school. The principal wants to know who started it. Granted, I don't think anyone who participates should go scotch free, but the person who starts stuff should realize they'll get the majority of punishment.

sure, and had I been banned for something like that i would understand, but i was banned for something illogical. Even the person who banned me said it was an overreaction.

It was two days? I thought it was one, then again it was a while ago. Also I hope you weren't disappointed with being banned from Niho. That place fucking sucked to begin with and when Falcon made a thread called "Where's all the womenz at?" and some chick flipped out saying blah blah sexiest ect or something like that not taking the joke and then a little fourteen year old brat getting all pissy when Moses told him to shut the fuck up (don't remember if it was that exactly I just remember she said fuck something) then he PMed a admin and they replied that cursing wasn't allowed I figured the best course of action was to just get banned on purpose.

I haven't been banned from anything good. I've gotten small bans from 4chan in the past, sometimes intentional ones, like trolling the news board to have some fun. However, a couple of months ago, I did get an undeserved ban. I was on the paranormal board, /x/, and I was resurrecting a wallpaper thread that was about to be deleted. I put "White Mage" as my name, clicked Submit, and it said I was perma-banned for "ban evasion." Which doesn't make sense because I've never evaded a ban on 4chan. Not a big deal though; /x/ and /co/ are the only boards I like, and /x/ is too slow while I'm too behind the times to visit /co/. Anyways, I have to use a proxy now if I want to mess with that site, which isn't very often.

A friend of mine got banned from a classroom in high school. Seriously. When the semester started, he was in this boring class, and he would sleep during it (something he did in every class at least once). The teacher didn't like that, and after he gave her some lip, after she gave him some lip, she told him to get out of the room and not come back. The next day, he tried to walk into the classroom, and the teacher stopped him. She told him she didn't want him in her class. He had to go to the guidance counselor, the counselor had to go talk to the teacher, confused glances were exchanged, blah blah blah, and he got transferred to another class.

Same here. The closest I've ever gotten was posting a Rom link at GBATemp. I only got warned though.

I'm glad I was never banned from FAKKU, or for anything for that matter. And on that account, I'm surprised at the amount of people who've been banned on FAKKU.

Shit, getting banned for mocking somebody. Even though you say Jacob overreacted I can only speculate that I will be the next target if my shit keeps up. I'm glad my mockery is at least subtle. Sometimes I think it's way too subtle.

Anyways, the only time I've ever been banned was on a WoW private server where I was starting shit with a GM for kill stealing my friend.
