So I'm thinking of getting an iPhone

I'm thinking of getting an iPhone, Considering with the release of the 3GS the 3G has gone down to 99.99(which is a huge factor in me thinking about getting one).

The way I see it is this, I need a new Mobile, the one I have now is broken(Internal Screen failure).

I can get a plan for 69.99 a month, that includes the Data plan that is a prerequisite and 450 minutes. On avg I use my phone about 200-250 minutes a month. not much just a quick call here and there. I don't text too much so if I do end up texting that's 20 cents per msg, something I can love with. I'm looking at a bill that's about 75 a month, but then my work has a deal with AT&T 10-15% I don't know which so I'm looking at 65-70 bucks a month for service after tax. What I want to know is do any of you guys have an iPhone and how do you like it if you do? and If you think it's a decent deal.

AT&T is shit. If I'm going to get an iPhone, I'm waiting 'till it isn't AT&T exclusive.

they have been my Mobile Service Provider since I had a Mobile. Back when it was still Cingular.

i like mine but I dont have to deal with at&trash so its probably not as painful.

I do not know why you guys dislike AT&T but that aside, Thursday I get the iPhone.

all i say is that it is again apple trash, even if the new 3GS has MMS now it's still overpriced apple stuff.

hes going with the older 3g, it's like 100$ which is much less than many phones out there... I think it's a good call if you can afford the data plan. Be sure to turn off all connection to the outside world other than the phone itself when you go on trips; they charge you for to roaming data shit.

I have to have my dad there to sign the Transfer of Service because he is the only one with access to the account so I'm going t be getting it here in about 4-5 hours.

I like my LG Voyager. Though I did kinda break it a little, but that's due to my constant fidgeting.

The I-phone is too much, and I get annoyed with my one friend who has one, because he can't 'receive pic texting'. It has to be sent through an email.

If you don't call much, and you don't text much - why even get an expensive phone? Then it's just for the title, and there's really no purpose but wasted money involved.

If you need it just for work and basic features - just get a plain regular phone. Almost all phones have internet access now, so that's no excuse.

Save your money and get something else with it.

My mom pays $59.99 a month with our two phones. She also has that discount you have, and we get 600 anytime minutes, free calling after 9pm and on weekends. Unlimited texting, which includes pic, video, and normal text messaging and so on.

But we have verizon. You also can talk to other verizon phones unlimitedly without bothering your anytime minutes.

I personally think you're being an idiot about this one. Way to get something overpriced. They're not even that nice looking imo. They just look like an ipod.

The iPhone is nice aesthetics wise, but I honestly dont see me using half of the bells and whistles on that thing. All i need on a phone is a qwerty since I use text more than actual phone calls. In other words, the iPhone is overrated. Id also like it if Apple had battery partitioning. If I use the ipod feature on my phone on a 16 hour plane ride, I wont have any power left to use my phone. All of apples products are overprice and overrated. Especially their computers. But I do think their ipods are the best mp3 players in the market.

I like the Full HTML Web Browser I've seen some of the Apps and I like them, Plus the Phone is only $99.99 USD. It's gone down in price to where even I'd consider buying it. and I like it because of the iPod built in as well. I have an iPod but I don't like carrying it and a phone with me at all times, too much stuff to keep up with. And I use Mobile ot mobile more than anything so I have unlimited on that, my minutes are not going to be eaten away that badly.

@ bushidomizer: I don't text that much, I send maybe 10-20 text in the span of a year if that.

So your excuse for buying an overpriced phone is that you're lazy. Funny thing is that I'm not surprised.

As for the iPhone I enjoy mine very much. I plan on buying my second one soon. I wantz the upgraded processor and ram in the 3Gs. I think it's a great phone and I don't see why it gets so much hate.

I've said it about 50 times now. The phone is 99. other phones I've looked at atr in the 120-150 range, and it's easier to keep track of one thing than mutiple things. And as Animeholic said that was really uncalled for but I'll just leave it at that.




It's exclusive to AT&T which a lot of people dislike, because they don't want to change there coverage provider for it. As well the original price tag was overpriced.

I don't see why you're all getting worked up over it, it's as simple as you not wanting to carry more than 1 thing. And you say it's because it's because it's $99? I've seen many, many phones for cheaper than that.
