Is Strike Freedom TOO overpowered?

meh it's because mitsuo fukuda "nice" directing ability and Kira "Jesus" Yamato it's became overpowered...in addition in tomino's gundam he always shows the gundam could be wrecked by non-gundam mobile suit (like in First and Z and ZZ and V, and crossbone and etc)

Yeah pretty much, the gawddam thing has a bit system together with the same features as the freedom and a nuke reactor to boot its like a hi-spec freedom pretty much theres no unit that can destroy that thing in seed(--,)

G Gundam was more of a martial arts style genre. It was the 15th anniversary for the Gundam franchise so they decided to put in something new.

I've always wondered who would stand up and beat Kira and the new Gundam Musou 2 game answered my question. :D

im thinking of the S.Freedom getting owned by either Wing Zero or 00 Riser(trans am mode) bits are probably the most annoying weapon in the Gundam Series those little buggers just sucks big time and having them on something like the freedom won make your day any better but if ever S.Freedom fights Zero heero would just unleash its Buster Rifle and destroy the bits together with the Freedom, as for the 00 Riser im hoping he'd use Trans-Am Riser on it having a really big Beam Saber seems to be a more fitting way to destroy the freedom

if i remember and undestand it right, 00 with the 0 riser and transam can disperse itself into particles too @_@ thats crazy stuff

Nah 00 Raiser will win against Kira since 00 raiser is even mroe cheap then S. Freedom, but Heero wouldn't stand a chance though. Zero is not versatile enough or fast enough to destroy the bit pieces or dodge the attacks.

Heero can just use the Twin Buster Rifle separately to hit the bits(like what it usually does with multiple targets) the Zero is versatile enough though i think the design of the Wing Zero is more of Over Powering rather than Out Maneuvering, but still if it can fight the Epyon like that it still pretty fast and not to mention made of Gundanium so it can stand a bit of barrage of beams(i think)

00 Riser turns into particles when in Trans-Am mode pretty much the bit wont hit it but Setsuna's Goose is Cooked if the Trans-Am timed out

more or less its gonna be all down to the capabilities of the Pilot and not the Mech if this kind of fight ever happened

Like Shinichi said, the combination of pilot and its mecha that makes it overpowered. On the side note I'm not a fan of Strike Freedom design.

And to correct the misconception of 00 Raiser being overpowered, the 00 raiser has time limits when in trans-ams mode and if you shoot/damage the raiser it might lost its ability to perform its crazy trans-am maneuver. Unless it could goes trans-ams for an unlimited amount of time then its over-powered...

That's why it needs to be nuclear powered.

No that would just kill it. 00 is better off w/o nuclear engine. As much as I like to see 00 get stronger, If I see another Strike Freedom, I'm going to scream. :x

I'm just saying that Nuclear engine would allow it to go trans-am for as long as Setsuna likes . . . until he finds out being in trans-am gives him cancer from the large amount of radiation.
