actually in my state, IQ tests can't be administered to African Americans cuz the courts have deemed them to discriminate towards them

I can kind of understand what they're saying, but at the same time, its bullshit. In some places, its true that blacks don't get the same quality of education, but its not like there aren't whites or any other races in those classes. Its an important test, so its not like you don't have a chance to study and for fuck's sake, its multiple choice. If a person is at a disadvantage, its not because they're black, its because they're stupid. The most ridiculous thing is what they're demanding with the lawsuit. They want back pay, damages, and promotions to captain for all the plaintiffs.

now, seriously, racism is bad. almost all of us know it and there are some people who use it. I don't have anything against black, red, purple, white, yellow, green or whatever_color_you_choose.

but for example, im my country (and the whole middle europe I suppose) we've got really serious problems with gipsies. not everywhere, but some cities are having really tough times because of them. I don't say they're all the same, but most of them are really unable to coexist with their neighbours and surroundings. they steal, destroy city lights, don't work and only suck money from government. BUT! if police catches them for stealing (example) and eventually uses some kind of force, they start to shout about racism and the policemen might even got fired just for doing their job (and doing it right), or better, those people just attack and beat up guys who caught their friend (it's like a saying sometimes used here... you are twenty (age) and we are twenty (people)). and if polecemen use the same methods to bust someone "white" (sorry for that word, but nothing better suits here), it's all right and they did well.

and those problems and incidents just lead people (especially in those "afflicted" areas) to some kind of racism. it's not like they're dumb, but they experience something terrible and just naturally fear and hate those people.

so, my point is, those firemen sound to me exactly like those "inadaptive people" - I screwed up, but it's not my fault! Just give me what I want, I don't care about your laws and rules!
