Citroën drove its GTbyCitroën concept car featured in GT5 (Gran Turismo 5) around london recently. Needless to say it really drew the attention of people. Many people stopped to take picture, film it and drive/ride along side the car. It is a really beautiful car and I wish our car manufactures would be this creative but that's not gonna happen any time soon for anything under a 100 grand. This isn't the first car that has been built that was designed by Polyphony Digital.
How much for this beauty you ask? Just a mere $2,000,000 and she is all yours.
The car is truly amazing but there is a sad part to it's life. The rumor is that when it goes into production there will only be 6 of these cars ever made. So more then likely the general public will never see one on the streets or at a track. It will be a super rare and put in storage for events only or to some collector. Such a shame when things like that happen. Of course there is the hope that a show like Top Gear will get a hold of one but I doubt it. The Ferrari Fxx was hard enough to get a hold of for them.
I prefer a car with about 3 feet more headroom. =X Lying down while driving sounds like a good idea but I can see myself falling asleep very easily and I bet turning your head to see around you would be hard.

It's a supercar. They aren't suppose to be comfortable or practical (most anyways). They're suppose to look bad ass and go fast. As long as those two requirements are net they can charge gratuitous amounts of money. For instance the koenigsegg cars have a small port hole for the back window which is useless in backing up. The Ariel Atom is an amazing thing to look at and one of the best handling cars in the world but it is the complete opposite of practical and safe. You don't even have to wear a helmet to drive it and it is indeed road legal.
... words cannot explain how fucking beautiful this car looks. I cannot begin to imagine how much the cost is. But whoever has this, is one happy camper :D
It's not the first time something like this has happened. Manufacturers all around the world have made kick ass cars but they're usually one-off customs or prototypes for testing or to "show the production abilites" of the manufacturers themselves. Simply put, they do it to "show-off" what they can actually do and end up as dream cars that will never be. Such a shame.
