On the subject of the cultural acceptance of violence. Why is it perfectly acceptable to bludgeon a hobo to death in prime time, but there can be absolutely NO TITTIES under the penalty of a colossal fine from the FCC and or several enraged "parents."

Because if the FCC dosent catch it or care, we air it. Who ever is running the FCC is calling the shots on this one.

I know that. Trust me as someone who's worked in the entertainment industry before I understand the full implications of being under the all seeing eye of the FCC. They tell you how to run your programs. But my question is. Why is the FCC okay with Beating women with baseball bats but not okay with having sex with them?

Because of the man at the top, its what he thinks, society is being censored off of what will get this guy fired or not. So he and his board of directors use whatever ethics rich government officials have, to censor.

I understand that. My question is why. By what logic is senselessly murdering women somehow less offensive then treating them to some pleasurable sex?

I see them a lot where I live because people are jackasses and rip across 6 lanes without looking.

I guess what they're there for is just a 'hey, be a little more careful, there's a baby in here'

Plus, you hit a car and a baby gets hurt, you're gonna be sued and in the paper as a baby killer.

Because the good puritan roots america was founded on endorces violence via burning whiches and such, than nude immages. You grow hair on your hands and become blind from beating off, not beating "heratics". Its a simple hell heaven system really. Our culture originates ffrom that christian culture, so naturally we stay away from public nudity, and feign devine sanctioned (sometimes unsanctioned) violence.

I guess you're right. But in modern context it doesn't make much sense. It's like the FCC is saying it's perfectly kosher and acceptable to go upside a woman's head with a pipe wrench if she mouths off. But the second baby making starts getting into the picture we should be shameful and feel dirty about it. Don't get me wrong I love violence in ways I should probably tell a therapist about. But it's never made much sense to me, historically logical or not.
