Shinjuku is an absolutely amazing place. I stayed at the Rose Garden Hotel, it was clean, reasonably priced (seeing how it was Tokyo) and perfect location (close to the subway)

Definitely go to Akihabara (electronic district) I would have spent my whole trip there If I could.

I didn't eat out at any fancy places (I would prefer to spend my money on gifts and such) but McDonalds, 711 and a place called Moss Burger. McDonalds is not like any McD's you ever had, it is not fattening, in fact, it is delicious without the fast food taste.

711 has everything from hentai-to breakfast! lol, it was my life saver for ramen noodles, energy drinks and baked goods.

And Moss Burger is a must! It was amazing! I was greeted by all the staff the second I walked in, the food was simply amazing, great price and the service was unmatched. My guide book actually recommended it as a spot to eat.

You can also go to noodle houses, they are cheap like 400 yen, so $4.00 a bowl (large bowl).

So yah, just dont go out for sushi unless you are prepared to pay big bucks.

Yah, the ramen stands were great. And really inexpensive.

Maid cafes are interesting, they make some tourists feel a bit uncomfortable though (for it is like being in an anime, being called "Master" and such)

Humm...You know what, Im sure there are places like that, but I do not know much about them. It would be neat, as long as it wasnt an hour away from tokyo.

the fans are different than in the states,they're so hectic and rabid.
seats starts from 1500 yen the last time i've been there.

hippie yappie:shibuya.walk around the love hotel hill at night.
it's fun to see love-love young couples and drunken salarymen.
or try staying at a love hotel to feels the real deal.

culture vulture:old entertainment district of asakusa.temples and old shops line the street there.asakusa kanon temple and nakamise-dori is a must.
and watch the kabuki show at night.

cosplayer's paradise:harajuku and yoyogi koen.
walk around and you'll see.the shops here are also good for youngsters.

armani,boss and prada:ginza.
out-of-reach price tags and "smart casual" outfit only area.

modern development:odaiba
where the top electronic companies showcases their latest goods.
and the site of modern japanese architecture.

electronic,maid and h:akihabara.
watch out for haruhi crossdressers.

go inside harajuku station at rush hour.

buy a 1 day subway pass and navigate yourself.
but one day is not enough,3-4 is recommended.
