I miss arcade machines. I miss lining up on an street fighter machine and beating the crap out of strangers. Today its all about online gaming, which feels impersonal (and PVP much more imbalanced).
I miss end-of-millenium movies. Today's end-of-the-world movies are all based on aliens, rather than quasi religious stuff.
I really miss arcades, too. It was fun to be able to play video games outside of the house, for when you needed a change of pace or wanted to get some fresh air. Also, there were some great arcade games that you couldn't play on a console, like a boxing game that had you punch and dodge in real life. The Wii is filling that spot a bit, but it's not the same.
Besides some few things, the 90s sucked.
Friends was the most popular show on TV. Come on, how the fuck was that enjoyable?
