What do u miss about the 90's

Were they? Most consoles I remember aside from the N64 had only two controller ports, and not a lot of games were multiplayer.



Today you have shit like X-box Live which brings multiplayer gaming to a whole new level. The Wii, which is very much a family console. And not to mention the ever growing library of MMOs which brings thousands and sometimes millions of players together.

Fuck you and your "more than 2P" bullshit. Super Mario Bros. 3, say something now.

Like I said Most games now Are not "party game" friendly. You may be able to Play Against The Entire world when you hook Your console up to the Internet, but that defeats the whole point I was stating! Most of them are one-player games if not hooked up to the internet...

With Old-school 2player Games You got to interact with the person you played with inside and outside of the game, thats what made it more fun to me!

With this over the Internet New-School crap, You cant really interact with the people your playing with. Even if you have the little mic the X-box provides, it don't compare To having the actual person sitting beside you when you PWN there Ass in a game and see there Expression.

I miss my after-school afternoon anime shows in t.v like zenki, BTX, mojacko, yaiba and the likes. I forgot some title of the animes. but i really miss watching animes without worries of some of my responsibilities like these days.

I miss the panic everybody was in about the Y2K...

It is for this and several other reasons that nostalgia in general is pretty much bullshit.
The 90's weren't a particularly good decade, and there really isn't a particularly good decade. The 90's wasn't even long enough ago that people only remember music and other media in broad genres and have mostly forgotten about the bad stuff except in a sort of mocking manner (as we so often do with the 70's).

I don't remember the 90's being bad or anything for me, I just hate nostalgia.

Uh. Last time I checked you can still play with multiple people from the same console. You can even connect several consoles together for more of that "real life goodness" you're raving about.

And did I not mention the Wii?

I do miss one thing about the 90s, but it could be said about every decade before the 90s as well - the internet wasn't widespread. I don't think it's degrading societal relations or wasting too much time or anything. I just hate that people can go online, read some retarded shit, spout it as the truth, and have others agree with them because they read the same retarded shit. I'll be honest, I've done it, too, but that's precisely the problem. Even smart, good-natured people can be suckered in by this thing called "the Internet." At least before the internet was everywhere, if someone said something unbelievable (like, anacondas are giant snakes that can eat men whole), people would be slow to believe it, or at least acknowledge that they don't know for sure. Now, people can spend ten seconds on Google and find something that confirms what the person said, and they'll see that as hardcore proof.

In short, people are generally more unwilling to think for themselves because they can search the internet to see what is true or not. But maybe I just like to bitch.

The one thing I miss from the 90's or anything before the internet age, was the concept of originality.

Today it's: Cool book - make a movie, cool movie - make a sequel, cool sequel - make a remake.

Doesn't apply to just movies, vidya games are nearly the same, new technology, better graphis, let's just stick with the same formulaic of running from platform to platform to get from point a, to point b.

It just seems that in today's world, things are created or decided based on the best common formula to make something popular, profitable, and recyclable.

Books have always been turned into Movies. The only diff now is the books they decided to turn into movies. Now they only choose Half writen/ half thought out books that are popular amoungst the "Cult pop Teens."
Things in the 2000's are more about money, they no longer care for the people they push it on...
