PS1 was my very first console I owned that was mine!
Played Tomba 2 and then someone stole my tomba game and I've never gotten over it.
Also crash bandicoot!
Oh yes, the old school gaming devices.
Who could forget about laying down on their bed or sitting on the couch and even on occasion sitting under a tree in the shade staring into a screen on a handheld called the gameboy.
I remember sitting down and starting my very first grand adventure on pokemon yellow. Receiving my very own Pikachu traveling over all of Kanto meeting new people and new pokemon making new friendships.
Oh and how proud I felt when I looked at Pikachu and saw that he was caring for me as much as I did him.
Taking on all the gym leaders and even defeating the elite four and becoming champion with my best friend Pikachu.
Then we would continue our journey to catch'em all and befriend even more pokemon.
Truly the most memorable parts of my life.
I will never forget my first Pikachu and the beginning of my journey.
Yes. I was an Intellivision man myself. Snafu, Tron: Deadly Disks and Utopia rocked.
I think the other posters here are far too young to remember either of these consoles (or Colecovision).
I've still got all my consoles but my first console to have to call my own and not my brother's was the motha'fuckin 1st: Sega Genesis 32bit...My weapons(games)...Sonic 2, the special stages were my shit and my favorites, Streets of Rage series, Revenge of Shinobi, X-men, Spiderman, Battle Toads vs. Double Dragon, and NBA Jam.2nd: Gameboy, PKMN-blue, tetris, 3rd: SNES..SF2, TMNT battle tourny(hard as fuck),Killer instinct, F-zero, SMworld, Maximum Carnage.
I grew up playing mostly nintendo, I only had two games for the NES some sesame street shape game and mario when I got the Super NES I got a few more games not gonna go into detail but yeah never really got a PS1 went from NES, Super NES, N64, PS2, Xbox 360
Why wasn't the N64 on the list? The Dreamcast was an amazing system, but it's timing was terrible. I miss you, Dreamcast... actually, I have all my old systems. I still like to plug them in every once in a while and play my old games. I miss the days of the cartridge, everybody would blow on those things even though you weren't supposed to. Good times.
The Gameboy definitely for me, I was one of those kids that carried a backpack around full of cartridges and accessories like the link cable and the worm light.
