I needed a nick, and went to some fantasy name generator thingy to get one. Simple and lame.
Later I learned that, at least if wikipedia is to be believed, it means pretty nice things in some Indian language and is also a name of a movie focusing on slavery.

Is one word i hear in a dream (it's not the only time i hear weird words and remember them when i wake up)
Maybe it's silly of me, but i thought that even if it's easy to make up words, if you make them up while you dream they can be more meaningful.
I decided to use it as a nickname because it's a less common combination of letters so i am less likely to have registration troubles. The only similarities are "nadeshiko" as i noticed, and maybe "nadechan" a abbreviated diminutive of "nadepsine". But that's 2 out of plenty ^_^

when i was 16 i used "demonangel" as a nickname because i thought they would describe well the human nature and one's feelings throughout its life. I had a bit of obsession about the Earth since it was between Heaven and Hell and other silly dramatic considerations. Sometimes even used usernames such as "anne_demonangel" or "_the_demonangel_" but i began to dislike to be resorted to adding underlines or numbers and more words. I enjoy it more if my username is composed of one compact word. Oh and i find myself plagiarized too; "lemonangel" "crissangel" "devilangel" and that made me want to change it even more. I wanted my nickname to have more depth than just something + angel because it sounds cool.

It's a musical reference. My favourite metal band is the mighty German thrash machine known as 'Kreator' and my handle used to be the obvious worship nick 'kreatorgods'. I thought it sounded much better as shortened to kgods.

I added 'Highwind' into a Japanese name generator and then, lo and behold, 'Higufuuindo' was born.
Highwind originates from Final Fantasy VII, Cid Highwind is my favourite FF character of all time, hence I use it whenever I can or try to make a witty variation of it.

When I was creating my new username a while ago, I was heavy into Lucky Star so I originally wanted it to be Kona-chan but it was taken on another site but then I decided to change it a bit and go with Konacha. 37 is my lucky number though I've been dropping that in most of my other forums with just Konacha.

Hinyu, from Gyu-Nyu in japanese which means milk, and Hin-Nyu which means sour milk, but in some translations, it can mean "pettanko".
