Single and loving it. Relationships take up too much time. I have a lot of things I like to do, and it's hard to watch everything I want, read everything I want, and play everything I want when a girl wants me to talk to her on the phone for hours every night and spend hours with her every day.

But, I'm also a bit of a misanthrope.

When it comes down to it, I'll stick with the band of the hand.

I knew a guy in highschool who would never not be in a relationship. He would stay in a reltionship with a person he hated untill he had another one to go to. So...he ended up basiclly cheating on every girl he dated.

Single, and I'm seriously tired of it. Why can't I find a guy who is at least semi-cute, likes anime/manga, lives within a half hour of me, isn't antisocial, and isn't creepy as fuck. I don't think my standards are that high...really...

That sounds like high standards to me. But I guess it's not so bad. Better to be single than with an idiot you don't even like.

Not entirely sarcastic, no. I don't know what reasonable would be. I guess some sort of compromise. I was seriously saying, though, why would it be better to be with someone you don't really like than to be by yourself?

I'd rather be by myself. I've met a lot of people though who seem to have a phobia of being alone and always must have a significant other. It's pretty odd to me.

well there are people like that they just cant live without a partner because of their own reasons(mainly insecurities)

I'm getting a bit tired of being single. It's been well over a year and I can safely say I'm over my exboyfriend. Maybe I miss the sex more. Who knows.

I guess is isn't. Although, most people suck in almost every way. So simply wanting someone who isn't a complete waste of air can seem like high standards at times.



Sex is not exclusive to relationships, you know. Unless you mean you miss the sex with him in particular, I guess. Anyway, if I recall correctly, you are a girl. Which should make it really easy to get laid.

I don't know. Individually, they're definitely not high standards, but put together, they are a little high.



Semi-cute can be done, likes anime/manga can be done, lives close to you can be done, isn't antisocial can be done, and isn't creepy as fuck can be done, but a person who is into anime/manga and is semi-cute can be hard to find. Same with liking anime/manga and not being antisocial. And again with liking anime/manga and not being creepy as fuck.

I don't mean to imply that all anime fans are the stereotypical fat loner without any sense of how to act around other people, but, well . . . that is a lot of them. Drawing from personal experience, I can think of four friends I have had. They all were into anime and manga, however, one of them was big into drugs (usually a turn-off unless the girl is also big into drugs), one was socially stunted and still hadn't kissed a girl by the age of twenty, one was perverted and could be very creepy, and the fourth, actually, looked okay and, I guess, would make a decent boyfriend. So, that's 25% of anime fans.

Wait, if you add me in, it's 20% of typical anime fans that fit your standards. While I am incredibly handsome and know how to treat a lady, I am also "complicated." That's a nice way of saying that no one wants me as their boyfriend, and I don't want to be anyone's boyfriend.

Still, you shouldn't lose hope, because my standards for a girl that I would date are much higher than yours. But it's not about how likely you are to find a partner; after all, you could live in a town full of only losers, or the place could be filled with only winners.

You're probably right though. relationships tend to be about compromise.
It's also worth noting that things one person sees as a positive attribute might be seen by another person as a very negative quality.
