Where do you see yourself in five years?

I'll either be a part-time teacher and a full-time alcoholic or still working in Restaurants and/or driving a truck.
I'll be 24. I don't really have any ambition. There are a few things I'd like to do in the future, but they aren't all too realistic.
Actually, I was thinking of opening a bar at some point in the future, but to do that, it would be a good idea to stay in food service and even do manager training...but I'd have to work with costumers and do time as a server.
Which is just...terrible.

Most likely studying or at work.
If my life is stable and I have enough more than enough cash to support myself, might go in search for someone I could fall in love and get married...
I don't know something along those lines...

Hopefully finishing (at least) my 3rd year working as a career fireman (I'd settle for 2nd year), and looking to lateral from the place where I got hired--to where I want to be hired (Seattle, San Francisco, Boston, Buffalo, etc.).

General life, trying to get a girl to stick around for more than a week, beer, putting together a buisness plan for a coffee shop, beer, bieng a freelance writer, beer, and skulking around here.

I'll be on college and still working on my part-time job.... if i still alive.

I'm thinking of studying again to get myself a degree in digital animation or 3D animation. I might be doing volunteer jobs too, I guess...

My current age is what many users will reach in those 5 years and while it's not all candy, flowers and shit there's no way in hell I'm givin it up without a fight.

I wouldn't necessarily call beards "technology," but they do allow you to travel through time and can be quite stylish. All you need to get by in life is a beard.

Just having a bachelor's degree is good if you're looking for a good job, but in terms of field-specific opportunities, there aren't a lot of options. Unless you're into journalism, teaching, or shit involved with writing, I don't really think its you're gonna be too satisfied with your options.

I'm not on the 2012 bandwagon, but there's a lot that can happen in 3 years.



These types of threads are interesting and a bit entertaining. You get an idea of who people are from the way they express their ambitions, but in the end anything and everything is easier said than done. There's nothing wrong with pursuing a career, busting your ass in a dead end job, or whatever to make ends meet, but its just not appealing to me. That's not to say that I have no interest in what I could do in the future, but my greatest desire is to be able to wander from place to place and do whatever. So, in 5 years, hopefully I'll be doing that or at least doing what I need to get ready for that kind of life.

If all goes according to plan, in five years I'll either be creating a prototype giant mech, or finishing up converting my car into a giant mech. :D

You're with me, Shaggy, in that in both of our fields a bachelor's degree = unemployment(B.A.s in music and math in my case).

I hope in 5 years to either be a professor of musicology of a music teacher, depending on what I do in grad school. Either way, I hope I get the chance to be around a lot of good musicians, or if I'm a teacher, that I can get my groups and students to achieve at a high level, as opposed to just being an average school ensemble.

I don't see myself in five years, the world ends in three.
