Who would you go after... ?

Will you force your Love to someone who wouldn't even look at you?
or
just give up and try to learn how to Love the person who Loves you?

this certain topic has been bothering me for so long...
I don't even have a clear view on it myself!
It's not like I'm in such a position myself to be able to understand how one must choose... how about you guys? Have you experienced this?
Care to share your thoughts?

I would choose a third option - Date someone else entirely.

If I love a girl but she doesn't love me, why keep trying?
If a girl loves me but I don't love her, why force myself to like her?

The best thing to do is look for someone else.

It's like not love is something that comes in limited quantities. You're not forced to only choose three people to love your entire life.

If there wasn't a third option and if it was 100% one of the other, I'd rather have the person who loves me but I don't love them. Why? Because I like to be the one in control and maybe I could learn to eventually love them. Whereas if I loved them, then I'd have to wait for them to eventually come around, which they might not, and thinking of that would drive me crazy >_<;
That being said, I don't usually tell people I like them for fear of rejection so I wouldn't know if they'd love me back XD So #2 is more likely in my case where they'd have to be the one making the move first and then go from there.

coz' sometimes when we spend our time being with someone, you can like her right?
and for the same reason my opinion is it's easier to receive love than making your love received

..........well...it depends, really. but i guess most of the time i'll go for second option. but well, both choices are pretty much the same. just a question of who's doing what...

The idea to actually love someone who loves you back right away seems a little bit far fetched, so these two options are pretty much the realistic standard, I would think. That said, it really depends on the situation. If someone loves me and I don't love them, is that because I don't know them at all, or because I literally don't like them? If someone I had never really interacted with before suddenly came up and told me she liked me, then yeah, I could see myself going after her to find out how I feel. If I never liked her from the start, I probably wouldn't bother - I don't really change my mind about those things so easily. I'd like to think that if I was trying to win over a girl, she'd have a similiar thought process. So to answer the poll, I would give option B a try whenever presented, as long as it meets those certain conditions, just as I would try for A when the situation calls for it. ...All very vague, yup.

I once tried option B and that really ended badly in my experience, IE: it would have been better if i never went along with it in the first place for her sake.

Option A however seems a bit extreme, sure i currently suffer from a bad case of unrequited love ( or at least it feels that way) but id never force the issue.

if thats the only choices id say find another! you can learn to love somebody yes but wouldnt it hurt the person who loves you? sinceyoure just forcing yourself.. like shaggy said go with the third option

i can learn to love that girl back,
or i can learn to make the other girl like me. if anything.
i'd go for the one that fits my needs best.

Both options are extremely hard on someone. I went through both options with my ex actually and it took a lot out of me.

My ex asked me out 3 times before I agreed, after our first date I decided I certainly wouldn't mind being with him, which was pretty close to Christmas.
New Years was when I realized I totally was into him and was glad I decided to give him a shot. It went from there.

As the year progressed things got tough, he started to lose interest. I'm the type of person that seems nice to date, but then get bored of me.

It's rough when you've been with a person for a long time, and you do things that are totally irrational but you don't even realize you do them>
I spent so much money on him, I tried to swallow self doubts figuring if I stayed strong there wouldn't be any problems and so forth.

Either way the ending to that relationship was extremely painful for me, but luckily was a long time ago and can rest easy now.

I'd like to avoid relationships that seem one sided. Because of my last one I need to feel like a guy is into me and be more expressive.

It hurts too much to love someone who doesn't love you back, and it hurts in a different way when someone likes you but you don't like them in return. You don't want to hurt their feelings, but you don't want to lead them on either.

Frankly I would choose neither.
I'd rather be alone then deal with either situations.

Personally, I'd rather be alone myself.

This matter isn't as simple as choosing between A or B. I purposely didn't create a third option for I wanted people to analyze and think about it thoroughly, as if putting themselves in this very position, before making a choice. I leave it for each of you to decide what that C is going to be...

There certainly is no correct answer in this question... so feel free to share your thoughts, feelings... and experience if ever.

as inexperienced as I am in this department I'd say I could never answer this question.

For the last 2 years of my life I've been totally in love with a guy who never seemed to have any feelings for me at all..

So I tried to forget him by dating people who liked me but who I didn't have any romantic feelings for..
I have had 4 failed relationships in the last two years (one of which became quite serious) and I regret all of them. People I grew to care about got hurt and I was still in love with the same guy.

In my experience,being in a serious relationship with someone who you don't love is unfair and always ends badly.
So, if I was forced to choose, I would go with the first option, at least (if they agreed to be with me) I'd get to be with the person I loved.

(Though in saying all this, the guy I've liked for the last 2 years asked me out in November, saying he'd liked me for a long time and had finally come up with the courage to tell me, and we are very happy together right now. The lesson in that being that you shouldn't assume what other people are feeling.)

I'd definitely try someone else entirely but given a choice between one or the other only I'd go with the second option. Love isn't exactly something that doesn't change over time so it's possible to fall in love with someone who you don't love right now.

@York: Did you just say that as inexperienced as you are...you'll never be able to answer the question? Are you negatively experienced or something? A normal person staring with 0 experience should still one day be able to answer...

I actually do consider my self in the neg department. I've had one chance already and I screwed that one up in a bad way.

If I absolutely had to pick. I'd pick "go for the one who loves you, but you don't have feelings for". Because at least you aren't forcing something upon someone else who doesn't want it :(
