Because I love seeing the character in the image, as simple as that. Plus the fact that I crop'd it and did some other things with it (thanks to PS) and so there's my avatar as a product of my effort.

Seriously though, good question. It's just now, thanks to this thread, that I've really thought about such a thing. (sarcasm? meh)

Btw, the same goes for my sig. I love the character and I put it altogether (by myself). I figured you might ask and thus I already gave you the answer. :razz:
