I may have pissed one of our department managers off tonight but you know what I don't really care he said something to me that bothered me and I confronted him about it. I'm on break and I'm getting a six pack of soda, one of the cans falls and bust. I tell the guy stocking near that I'm on break and if it's still there when I get back I'll clean it up. Well shit happens and I don't get to it right away, because I have to give the only cashier there break. JH I'll just use his initials starts bitching at me and says "your momma don't work her so you need to clean up after yourself" That pissed me off on so many levels. One I have a personal issue of your momma things directed at me from when I was in Primary School, and two, I do clean up after myself. Well I asked the guy running U-Scan to watch the register for me, I get a mop cursing under my breath, every other word clean it up. Go find JH and say I got it cleaned up, and I would appreciate it if you don't say something like that to me again. he starts going into that it was not about my momma and I tell him I understand I just don't appreciate it, and walked off without saying another word. When he was leaving he gave me a funny look that I just let slide because I know I pissed him off for telling him what to do. So here is what I want to know would have you done the same in this situation?

If you would please stop twisting what I say. I never said I was not to blame and I never said I was not in the wrong. Though I do believe that I took the correct action and confronting someone fore saying something to me that bothered me, when they could have been more professional about it. As it's been stated you do not know me on a personal level. You have no idea what hell I have endured in my life, what I have sat and actually took from people. I no longer wish to take it lying down. I will stand up for what I believe, if it is the right or wrong.

how is questioning your work ethic at work (when you clearly were lacking) crossing the line? It only bothered you because you misinterpreted it.

There is a line of professionalism On one side is you need to do this, on the other is pulling a joke about it.

Also I talked to him today about this(he approached me), I took the time to explain my stand point and I did apologize for slacking a bit, he also took the time to explain his stand point and then said he would try to keep from saying things like that in the future.
