wow. The red ring sucks. i don't own a 360 but my friend and cousin got red ringed and they ended up never getting it repaired and had to buy new ones.

Never trust Microsoft. Hell, I love my 360, but I refuse to trust Microsoft until they find a cure for both AIDS and Cancer. Actually, I still won't trust them.

I don't think they know what Hardware Failure is.

Wow, that sounds like a good reason to sue. If they're trying to cheat people like this then there is a serious question of the ethics behind their actions.

I don't think anyone would win in court. :? Plus, I'm pretty sure my warranty ran out last month so there's no point in trying to dispute it since all the effort would go to waste.

Somewhat on topic, my brother got a 360 the day it came out, and it was fine until September of '08 when I started living with him for a bit. Within a month of my playing it, it had contracted the RRoD. Let me restate this, he had it for almost three years and it was fine, I used it for a month and it broke. I had to pay the $100 to have it fixed too.
