Royal Rumble thoughts:
- Brian won as expected. However, somehow I think both Bryan and Show screwed that match. I don't know if it was me, but I think the plan was for Big Show to pull Bryan up with one arm but couldn't do it at the end. Match felt shorter and it looked like a basic win for a cage match. Brian would have won otherwise but not on this way.
-The Divas' match: I felt like this one was a time filler for the last match, in my opinion, brief ending. It felt like a last minute match to me.
-Cena's match was good but I felt that it should have been more. I don't know, Cena was suppose to be angry and was going to beat Kane like a pulp or something, but it felt short of expectations. It looked more like a RAW segment than a PPV match.
-The Funkasaurus segment was great, I love what they have done to the character.
-Punk match with Ziggler was awesome from beginning to end. Ziggler's everyday ring performance shows the dedication this guy is putting towards the sport, which I really appreciate. The end of the match was more or less as expected but overall, the match had a great pace.
-And now the Rumble match, or should I say the day WWE trolled everyone at the end by not giving the match to the two expected winners. I think the decision of giving Sheamus the win was great because it gives more meaning to the unpredictability the match is suppose to have. Overall, the match had its moments like Ricardo Rodriguez, Kofi's handstand and Kharma's appearance. It could have been better, but it was still good nonetheless.
I'll give the PPV a 7/10.
As for RAW, Punk and Bryan's match was great as expected. Obviously, being both champions, no winner would have been decided. I think a feud between these two will come sometime this year.
John Laurinaitis being a suck up to everyone and HHH making fun of him by insinuating the return of the "kiss my ass" club was great. Just as HHH was going to relieve him of his duties, Taker appears. However, I believe HHH will not accept the challenge. That is, if he does he will feel that he "will use his power to get what he wants" just like he accused John of doing. Will he cave him to the challenge or not, nobody knows, though this certainly gives that rumor of Brock Lesner being Taker's opponent a bit of a credibility(juuust a little bit).
We'll see what happens. Oh and my opinion on Mike Tyson being on the HoF? I don't feel it was necessary to be honest. Oh well, it's just a honorary courtesy more than anything.
