Anybody remember the free mew card you get for watching pokemon the movie? I collected the cards, but I never knew how to play the game lol. Every Saturday I would watch pokemon and spend hours playing on my game boy pocket. Those were the good ol' days.
I know at one point or another we've imagined life if pokemon were real, but now being mind fucked from so much anime, I know that world would be a scary ass hell place.
i remember when i was in 3rd grade i had all the cards except arcanine. when my friends found out i had them all except arcanine nobody would trade it to me since the big thing was to get them all. i eventually traded my charizard, blastoise, and venusaur for a gameboy color and a few pokemon games.
I collected cards because my brothers did. I never knew how to play though.
I remember it popular enough that my older sister's friends went to see the movie and I don't think any of them even knew what pokemon was about.
I also remember the first pair of underwear I ever picked out for myself had Misty and Jigglypuff on them.
I was more interested in chasing tail than Pokemon back when it was first released in 1996...that being said I was 16 at the time so surprise surprise.
Does anyone remember the first movie's release? If so did you get that Mew card? I remember getting it and everyone treated it as some amazing rare card, even though they handed them out to every single kid at the cinema.
Ah, I remember that time when it's booming. I watched the show (the first season), collecting the cards, even get the pokemon dolls. And I rememeber when there's gossip about pokemon is a devil or something.
>_< I spent hundreds of dollars on Pokemon cards. Well not me, My grandmother. XD
Me and my brother had so many cards and many duplicates.
Every day after school we would buy more.
I wonder where I put those cards... I think one of my family members stole them.
Pokemon=awsome
Even years after i thought pokemon was dead it is revived and i find myself talking about them and even looking through all my old cards! I love pokemon
It started back in the 1st or 2nd grade, I remember not being able to afford a gameboy to play the Pokémon games. I didn't really collect the cards, the only cards I bought were from a starter deck. I also remember really wanting the N64 Pikachu game and the snapshot, or whatever it's called, game. The only N64 game I had was "Pokémon Stadium" game I was really committed to the anime though, and even memorized the theme songs lol. Though It only lasted until digimon hit, though the fad didn't really end. Pokémon died for me when Yu-Gi-Oh! hit, which I'm still not over, yeah I'm that lame, don't hate lol.
had all 150 original cards...but i gave them away...stupid move...
i played the gameboy games daily, even in class!
i had a few plushies, i still have a few!
Nobody really knew how to play the card-game, but they loved to trade them, so i made a few bucks selling cards!
Oh, Pokemon...
I remember the craze. I was the go-to-guy for any sort of Pokemon collectable. My specialty? Catching rare Pokes in game and trading them... for a price.
I was a Pokemaniac. I had quintuples of all the cards in the base set (Yes, even Charizard) and I still remember the whole original Rocket motto by heart.
Actually, I still love Pokemon. I'm not a Pokemaniac any more, but I still at least get all the games.
i had pokemon blue versiona and the gameboy, THE GAMEBOY, me and my mom would go to borders for pokemon cards so much that they gave her the nickname, pokemom, i had all the pokemon but then i got out of it, gave everything away and the story is history but i do rmr getting my first holo, it was a blastoise, i was so happy. good times
