Burial or cremation?

Or you could have a viking funeral. I don't know about you, but I prefer burning stuff.
Not to mention, some people seem to believe that dead bodies are sacred or something similar (and thus would probably take offense to harvesting bodies for science).

Alive people are more important than the deads.
But if the only choices were burial and cremation, I would choose cremation. Burial takes too much space.

prefer Cremation here .... since it takes less space and i won't even be bothered to be put in a jar .... just scatter my ashes back to the ground .. i mean its the same as returning to Mother Earth right?

No but seriously, cremation would feel better. But I don't wanna be cremated in some oven or summin', I want to be burned on a bonfire, a massive one, and my ashes should be spread out in the "Skogskyrkogården", Translation: "The Forest Cemetery".

I'd donate my organs then set whatever mangled remains i have left, on fire. Partly cause I love me some fire.
(Just a random sidenote: I don't really get why people think being buried is returning you to the earth. You're in a box, if anything, you should be buried without the coffin so worms and such can get at the yummy nutrients left in your slowly rotting corpse :D)

Cremation for practical reasons. Some countries are already having problems with lack of land, burrying people takes a portion of land which could probably used for agriculture, built into towns city etc instead of a cemetery. Cremation takes less space. As for respecting the dead, I am not sure if they give a damn about how they want to disappear. As corpses down under, worms will just defile their bodies anyway which sounds a lot worse than turning to ashes.

Well, once all usable organs have been harvested and my body has been given to science to study my remaining body parts. I wish to be thrown into a forest and be eaten if that's not possible I wouldn't really mind at all. I suppose being a burial would be more benifically for historians but a cremation would make less space on the other hand, I would bring nutrients back into the soil and no need to be burned I suppose a burial would be best.

I go with cremation since like what Naoto said burrying takes space and land is something very precious these days. Also it removes any evidence of old age incase you're someone who wants not to be remembered in a wrinkly fashion.

I am Native American, and we do not believe it is a good idea to go "polluting the earth with dead bodies." I personally do not care about religious practices, it just personally makes more sense to me, to have my bodied burned, and ashes spread, then to have my body fester in the earths crust.
Burying a body takes up unnecessary space anyways, and I guess if you want to believe this, can cause ghosts. Like in Poltergeist.

If my relatives want to respect my dead body, they'll burn it up so I'm not wasting any space, or they can bury me without a casket in a forest so I can be fertilizer and make myself useful even when I'm dead.
edit: Um, I mean, bury or burn whatever's left of me. On my license, I'm listed as a consenting organ donor.
