Even if ghosts existed they'd be completely insubstantial. They wouldn't be able to do anything to you. A "ghost's" power comes from making you paranoid enough to hurt yourself. So, really, whether they exist or not is irrelevant. Calm down, think about nice things, and don't get jittery around sharp objects or the tops of stairs and you'll be fine.
Its all in your head and even if they were real...what can they do to you except piss you off by moving your stuff around and making the room cold for no reason. On top of that, they add their own sound track with random noises.
We have a paranormal section on F! btw, if you were interested. Ive started my own club at my school to find their existance. So far, no luck. I can say i beilive there is something going on and people are seing things we have yet to understand and discover. Ghosts, could be a theory.
Well, would not go as far to say I believe in the existence of chain rattling transparent demonic "I'm dead as hell and I'm not gonna take it anymore" type ghosts... I do believe that strong emotions, be they positive or negative, do leave some kind of emotional lasting mark that cannot be seen but can be felt by empathetic people who are sensitive of such feelings.
And the reason we assume they are evil spirits trying to bring us harm and misfortune, is because sad to say, more people who die seem to experience truly frightening levels of hate, fear, or resentment than those who experience those same levels of calm, happiness, and so on. Also, add in the fact that, a sudden death as such one might expect from a murder or an accident or the like, a sudden rush of emotions like that would be like a spike on a larger scale. Where as those who do reach such level of positive emotions as happiness, that's more of a slow progression more times than not. So over all a sudden spike of negative would be more quickly noticed than a slow raise in positive...
Course, those are all my beliefs I could be talking out of my ass ^^;
Ghosts, no. The supernatural, yes.
I can't rationally conceive of a worldview wherein everything is accounted-for, because it's beyond human ability to truly understand everything. I don't believe everything can be explained scientifically.
But when it comes to "does (insert creepy thing here) spook you?" the answer is "no, I don't care enough."
I'm with strangegreycat. I don't believe in ghosts per say, but I believe there are strange phenomenons that can't be explained by science - the supernatural. At least, I believe they can't be explained by any type of scientific understanding we hold at present.
As for any of that creeping me out... yeah. I can admit that any strange occurrences that I can't explain in some scientific format creeps me out, or flat out scares me.
