This topic was inspired from the topic hiding hentai. I ask you guys is hentai a form of art or just a sex material for you. For me I like to draw anime so i consider watching hentai as a guideline in order for me to draw bodies proportionally.

Hentai is a source of inspiration, art and erotic material at the same time for me. Inspiration when I am lacking idea for a signature or wallpaper, the way characters are positioned / drawn in context can sometimes give of a nice idea, art because I like a certain drawing style and erotic material is safe explanatory.

i Would Say Both also. it really does depend on how you look at it. most people get aroused when they look at it even tho its art. someone had to create it n take there time making it perfect. but its mostly Art wit sex material in it =]

Hentai is both an art form and a sex material, depending on how it is drawn and what is empathized in the images. I would also agree with Moses, your mood definitely influences what you think about what you are viewing.

Many "drawings" can be art... but i gotta say both as well since it can be used for both... though not all hentai is "art." though i don't see how it couldn't be sex material...

the only thing i get inspired for when lookin at hentai is possibly the urge to fap, i honestly can't focus on the details of the "art" while the image did an amazing job at portraying the intention it wanted(make u masturbate). hentai's obviously a form of art(considering porn's considered art as well), and fappable material(not exactly a "sex" material whatever that meant, isn't that suppose to be a dildo), maybe combined with a somewhat interesting fictional storyline to keep u entertained until the "hentai" part comes in(for hentai mangas and doujins, and games).
