If I were being verbally assaulted, then I'd reply with just as equally insulting verbal comment.
In fact, if someone was being enough of an ass, I'd even provoke them to throw the first punch, just so I had a reason to punch back.
Maybe that makes me an ass too?

I generally try to be a pacifist for the sake of self-control and I don't like hurting people, but some people out there really makes me want to hurt them *waves fist*.
However, thus far, no one has given me a good enough reason to, thankfully.

Kidding aside, that shit really really pisses me off. And I don't believe in gender inequality of any kind, so I'd punch a girl the same as a dude. Same goes for racial inequality, and that should go without saying but the OP had to include race into it. That actually makes me wanna punch him/her...

Okay, since it looks like people are reading just the words "punch" and "woman/man/veteran, etc," it looks like I'll have to change things a little bit. I should have realized that this was a hentai forum, and people prefer pictures to words.

Let me present to you (and everyone who is planning to tl;dr this whole thing) a hypothetical scenario. You are Guy number 1. On a scale of 0 to 100, wherein 0 is the least aggressive thing a person can say/do to you, and 100 is the most offensive, Person number 2 has just ranked at 80, where 75 is your threshold for a physical response. Keep in mind that aggression is not necessarily violent. A physical act of aggression does not mean violence. Keying your car is an act of aggression. Egging your house is an act of aggression. Leaving all the dishes in the sink because you won't wash them is passive aggression. All of which are non-violent.




So the offensive action (referred to now as "X") is ranked at 80, assuming that no attributes are granted to this "person 2." Person 2 is not a man, woman, stranger, senior citizen, or anything. Person 2 is just a human being that has ranked 80 when you can take up to a 75 before becoming physical.

If you'd like, you can completely ignore the notion that you'd respond physically at all. The question still stands though. How are points added/subtracted based on their particular circumstances? Would an action that ranks 80 if a male did it rank lower if a woman did it?

Well I always think about my strength before I start even thinking about fighting someone who pisses me off.

To make me fight, I guess it all goes down in a certain situation, like if my friends are suffering and I keep giving them advice's but they never listen, then i'll start smacking him one.

I will take some ones shit untel they hit me, once they hit me they are fair game. or if they hit a women in front of me or a friend/family. If its a women, If she hits me Three time with force Intending to cause harm. Then I will hit her back once, Hard. Just to show not to fuck with me.

Everything just depends on the case and how much patience you have with that person. If knocking that person out is more of a reward to you then whatever consequences you might face, thats the tipping point.

You do not respond to non violence with violence. Anyone who does is in the wrong. What, "I slugged the guy, but he
was an asshole, no jury would convict me?" Sorry, no. If they're damaging your property ("keying your car") then you call the police and let them deal with it.




I have a feeling you're looking for another answer, and none so far have obliged you. Don't assume that because people aren't answering the way you want them to that they didn't understand the question.

I should note that the person that I quoted when I posted that suggested I was a douchebag for wanting to punch someone for talking shit, even though I never once stated, neither explicitly nor implicitly, that this was a situation based on real life. He also said that I should "grow a pair."

I think he misunderstood my question plenty enough. And before that, I mentioned that I realized that the question seemed leading, which was why I tried to avoid posting more about it. Unfortunately, a few posts were beginning to suspect that this thread was exactly what I said just now, a thread where I was trying to justify something that I had done or wanted to do and needed someone to agree with me before I acted. Again, not what is happening nor what I was trying to do.

I suppose the nature of the thread puts me in a tight situation when it comes to replies. The more I try to talk about what I "meant" the more it seems like I'm trying to lead answers. So far, I've tried only responding to posts that were addressed specifically to me. All other answers I pretty much left alone. Even posting the comment you're quoting me from was against my better judgement.

I want to say in this type of situation, I would "act" like an extreme pacifist. I think this might be because two things:

1) The Internet. I'm sure we've all heard countless different "verbal" abuse online. Most of us can pretty much shake it off or ignore it nowadays if you've been on the Internet for awhile. So yeah, shoot your sounds waves at me that are suppose to represent something really mean. Maybe if you yell loud enough you'll hurt my ears. xD

2) I want to say that most people live pretty non-violent lives nowadays, but I know people are going to jump at me with their hardcore life stories. So I will just say, I personally live a pretty "pampered" non-violent life. A fight for me for the most time means a heated argument with... no actual physical fighting. Physical violence just doesn't seem like an option or come to mind.

So in short, I would pretty much not result to physical violence in result of just verbal banter.

I would simply walk away, no need to get into a meaningless fight unless they attack first with the intent to harm you.

It really depends. I don't really base it off of who they are or what they've done, but I'll take an honest look at the persons character and think about what could be going on in their lives to make them act like that. Usually I'll just throw them off with a comment or an action that doesn't help to justify their attitude towards me. I would never hit a disabled person or a girl under most circumstances, as long as they aren't life threatening. If they're just griefing to grief then I'll push them back until they call it quits.

Physical altercation is the last thing on my mind always when it comes to conflict. There is rarely ever a need to resort to physical violence unless you're about to be seriously harmed or someone you know and care about is in danger of being harmed themselves.

All they have to do is make it self defense on my part, at which point it's open season.
