It wasn't an insult but rather something I said because I fully understand it on my account.. I didn't have the intention of insulting others who lack less knowledge than I do in some stuff....
That's exactly why it's insulting.

So when you mentioned "Bullshit"... did you actually think you were actually right?
Legendary_Dollci wrote...
I only set the commercial on this post as an example
I called your example bullshit, and gave absolute reason as to why. We both know very well that it was a poor example, and that it was bullshit.

What we see or hear DOES in fact influence us either in a big way or a small way..
You don't need to have a history with something to already be influenced by it because these things attract new minds as well... don't need more to explain...

I advise you read each and every sentence carefully and rethink about how you can counter my argument...
Same to you, buddy. I was talking advertising. In order to be given a craving for McDonalds food, you first need to know what it tastes like.

About sources?
Pick one.. there are hundreds and thousands of articles and videos regarding to human psychology and how the environment can influence our minds....
A father is smoking a cigarette and his son looks at it,, more likely he will pick up the habit of smoking based on the actions his father took and that it "Subconsciously" influenced his son.... These sources date back in the 90s, so pick a timeline and read about it.. im not your agent who gathers infos for ya....
This makes some various presumptions. First, in this, it's a young lad being influenced by his father. Children are very influenced by their environment and even more so their parents. But that's hardly a good example, since we're talking about
grown men. The required age is 18 after all.
Further more, when you're presenting an argument, you
are required to show your facts. What you're doing is saying "I know more than you. I'm right and this is what I have to say" and calling that an argument.

Back then Men and Women mated and haven't had much expectations from each other on what they should be.... This only started back then when "Looks" started to matter and positioned themselves an a sort of idol, a symbol that men should strive for and that ambition is exactly the same.... just in a pornographic way....

The concept of looks has been embedded in our bodies, and was recorded more than two thousand years ago. It's not a new concept.
"This only started back then when "Looks" started to matter" Looks have always mattered. Get over it.

Ok so what if you love hentai and you don't get influenced by it...
Here is one info.. not everybody is like you....
and we're not talking about hentai here, we're talking about REAL PORN ( even though I did mention hentai) and that REAL PORN does INDEED influence a large number of peoples minds...
Yes, you are influenced by everything around you. But as I already stated, " Why would the industry only want women with good qualities? Because that's what men already want."
However, porn isn't influencing people to want something they didn't already. People watch the porn they already find attractive, it's not changing anything. If I was watching only pornography with blonde haired women, it's because I already have an attraction to blonde haired women.
But still, your statement is very vague. You don't even say how it is influencing peoples minds, precisely. Only that it's bad!!!

The smartest way of countering an argument is by laying your facts on the table that proves that my facts are nothing but a load of bull...
That's really funny! In fact, you haven't provided any quotations, links, or any source of information and nor have you provided an argument. Rather you said, "I learned about psychology so that's why I can fully understand these things." and that's what makes your statements fact.
Furthermore, I don't even see how you can say that. You're telling me, "you need to provide information to back your statements" and in the same post you've said, "im not your agent who gathers infos for ya" when I told you that you need to provide sources for your "facts." Good job, bro. Good job.

If you can lay out the facts that your theory is more factual than mine then I will give you a rep+
First off, I already did and you ignored it in your response and moved on to the things that don't matter. However, if you insist,
Here's what we have:
You've said, "I know more than you therefore it's fact." so you have no facts.
Here are my facts:
*The pornography industry only wants women that the majority of men will find attractive. By that virtue, men generally find porn stars attractive.
*Men want attractive women.
*Men will strive to mate with women they find attractive.
*Men will not be fixated on one thing or women, this is shown as men have a variety of pornography.
My conclusion: It's impossible to say there will be no influence, that is basic nature. However, the significance is questionable.
The general point is that "porn will make men only want overly attractive women." However, men have already been biologically set to desire attractive women; it is a very basic and well known concept, along with common sense. (the sources for that statement are in the links above)
The most harm is to, psychologically sound, young males, who are impressionable and have little experience with women as they would gain the wrong impression of what the world is actually like. There is, however, laws in place which dictate that pornography may only be viewed by those of the age of 18 or higher.
I'd like that rep+ now.
