Alright, here's the thing.
Though, in my country [the United States] there is a whole bunch of stuff going on in regards to this subject, I'd like to point out something:
Most people in Japan would refer to a pædophile as a ãƒãƒªã‚³ãƒ³ [lolicon], and while I'm sure that many people here like that stuff, it isn't normal, full stop.
I do share the belief that there really isn't anything different between having a lolita complex, and being a pædophile.

Moreover what right does society have to ban this material? Its production and consumption didn't endanger a single kid and while you might find it disgusting, I feel the same about your though-police approach to life.
Tell you what, we can ban loli and kill pedophiles, if in turn I can lobotomize authoritarian little shits like you... sounds fair, right? After all, you did advocate trampling on the liberties on someone who never caused you any harm, using the same logic I can hand out whatever abhorrent shit tickles my fancies on people who don't fit my image of a "perfect citizens".

I agree with it. Artistry is freedom of expression as long as it doesnt hurt anyone or will offend personally then it shouldn't be banned. but thats just my opinion, maybe there a story behind the banning

As long as the jap's want to ban loli it's ok, but to me they will lose some of their income to boost their country economy. An artist could go to some country that haven't banned it then make it there to bad we have chosen to banned it if not we could be the one generating money from this art.

I remember reading about this on some anime news website, but I can't remember which one. I just know that they at least wanted to ban not only loli, but anything that depicts minors doing something illegal for their age group. Something about how it promotes behavior deemed bad. So it's not limited to just loli, but all anime. I think they even used Oreimo as an example because Kirino buys porn games.

Loli is NOT child porn. It has almost nothing in common except for the fact it both features children. I mean, do you really feel the same thing reading loli and watching child porn(if you ever did). Well, I've never set eyes on child porn but, just from seeing a real life little girl and telling myself "wow, there are actually people fucked up enough to make such a cute thing have porn sex(because porn sex can much vary from real life sex)", I was utterly disgusted.
