@Aion Crux: You really don't see my point, do you? On top of that, your twisting my words and misconstruing my argument. What I meant by "saving her regardless of the situation" is that you should take any means necessary to save her, like creeping up behind the guy and knock him out, or throw a rock at him, or distract his attention by yelling, or bait him by walking up him and say, "Can I join" or something weird and his surprise, you give him his just punishment, etc. etc. Need I state the list of alternatives of handling the situation by yourself? There's nothing more shameful and cowardly than being a bystander who clearly has the power to do something right here right now. And as I mentioned before, the cops should be the last backup plan because you won't know when and where they'll come. The rapist's dangerous and got weapons? Boohoo, you lack balls, improvisation skills, as well as a brain. You think the rapist will actually have the opportunity to use a weapon on you, let alone wield it? Or use it on the victim? My main point is that to "call the police, walk away, and resume life," is total bull. This is about having human morals, the moral to the do right thing when you have the power to do so. And I shouldn't have to list the possible scenarios that can play out.
so far, your statement is just a statement.
if you're facing the real opponent right now in front of you,i bet your way to fight him is different from what have you been described above.
i'm stating with reality while you're only stating with theory. i bet you never done it before.
if you're talking about human's moral, then i do it the right thing.
why? calling police is one way to help him, right? we dont have to be a superhero to save the victims, right?
at least i care for the victims by call the police. if i want to,i can kill the criminal with my own hands. but i dont want to do it. that's because i never mess up with criminal before and i dont want to state only a useless theory unless you've try it previously.
oh,bystander is not always a coward. they're peoples who dont want to interfere, they can if they want to. leave the problem to the proffesional. that's the best way rather than be a superhero that died to the hand of criminal.
oh yes,i'm a brave person. but i dont want to do it. that's because i never interfere with someone's problem and i dont want to. indirect helping by call the mass to kill the criminal could be good. but mass peoples often overdo it and may kill the criminal.
if that happens, not only them consider as a killer, but me also. at least i can save 2 lives. the criminal and the victims.
no no,i have a brain. that's why i state this realisticly when you stated it only useless theory. right?
the injury will always carved in the victim's chest. whether it's mentally or physically. so why must we act like a hero by ourself?
