I like him besides the fact he wants to cut the defense budget if i die i am so blaming him for it
I think American's pretty well defended. The last attack on American soil was, how many years ago? Oh yeah, 67 years ago. And that was an attack on a Hawaii naval base. The last attack on an American city happened many, many years before that.
What, we forgot about 9/11 which was the impetus that the Republican party used to go on a Middle Eastern warpath? We got many holes in our security, 9/11 proving part of that.
I was thinking more of war attacks, not terrorist attacks. Terrorist attacks are a lot harder than attacks of war because, well, they can happen anytime, in any country. If I got a couple of explosives and went down to my local city hall and blew myself up, that'd be a terrorist attack, and the strongest defense in the world wouldn't have prevented it.
Also, dealing with the whole 9/11 thing, the ability of the country to defend itself didn't play into it too much, because the terrorists hijacked regular planes, which typically aren't guarded by the army. Even if the country's defenses are great, things like that can still happen.
