Not surprised but, certainly not happy. I'm a mixture of various degrees of disappointed.
I'm upset over
Union "card Checks" (A.k.a Unionization through Intimidation). I'm a supporter of Unions but, the anonymous votes were to protect the voters from intimidation from management and other groups. If that is passed people will know how you will vote. There was a strong reason to keep those votes anonymous.
"Fairness Doctrine" I'm not even going to explain this one. Look it up yourself.
Amongst a few other things like the senate not being equal Republican/Democrat. I don't like one party having the ability to speed bills through the process. I want as close to a 50/50 split in the Senate and Congress just for the fact that it means their hands are tied thus they can't fuck things up anymore than they already are.
The silver lining for me is: Now that Obama is the next president, if anyone says America isn't the place where anybody can achieve anything. I have the right to kick their ass and I won't even be charged with disorderly conduct.
Anyways, Obama won congrats but, if he screws things up anymore than they already are I'll be the first one in line to put my foot up his ass.
