Seriously. What. Do you know why I don't think you're very smart?
Nope, I don't. In fact, I think you're mistaking myself for you.

1.) How when I said "war" that you thought I was talking about the New Deal?
Because I'd hope someone wasn't dumb enough to believe that war inflates the economy.
We've fought a war for going on 12 years now, under this *retarded* economic thesis you'd think we'd have a robust economy. How about the Vietnam war? Nope, coincidentally we had the first great recession of the next two decades(70's-80's) and hence, young college students and others wanted to get out of the war to focus on, you know, America?
For all of the temporary inflation that comes from war(particularly, as people become desperate to survive), that inflation cannot match the mass demand of goods needed(IE: Tanks. Think of the thousands, upon thousands of gallons of oil tanks need to function. Food? Food prices have also gone up.)

But yes, war has some kind of noticable economic effect...It's a black hole! Most soldiers who fight, don't want to be soldiers for a living. But instead, these are honest dads with careers in architecture, etc al or mothers who are nurses who would rather be serving in a civilian hospital where they're sure they'll live another day.
So with all due respect, don't call me stupid when you can't even recognize that
war destroys economic value. Both monetary capital and human capital.

2.) Yeah, that has nothing to do with jobs.
Ugh, I give up. It is the philosophical and biological reasoning for which we need to continue to have a strong population, and the growth of a nation which will then provide the jobs. There's never been a species on earth, until now that has thought of its own life as expendable. When Biglundi first made this argument, I thought it was laughable and I didn't even want to address it.
Here, I'll dumb it down enough for even you to understand.
Jobs=are created by people. Jobs=are also demanded by people. More People=more jobs. A high birth rate=future generations of industry leaders, scientific leaders,
entrepreneurs, etc.
Is that simple enough?

3.) Accidents happen. Promiscuity happens. Your view is the definition of naiveté.
My view, if it were widely accepted would put an end to those accidents and promiscuity. The value of sexual intercourse, of a relationship, etc. If it's taken seriously, instead of "Oh, we can just slip on a condom or oh, just take a pill." You'll find that these problems will be solved in time.
I mean, look at the teenage pregnancy rates which are skyrocketing. I thought birth control was supposed to 'help' with this problem? It seems contraception only helps to escalate the problem.
My view, is that only by upholding our society, and our social values can we hope to coexist and live in harmony in an economically sound environment. The spikes of violence that have gone up recently, coincide with our economic decline.
The "new reality" is one big massive failure, to which it's supporters can hardly comprehend.

Enough of being off-topic though, I'm tired of making Jackie Chan faces.
We're not being offtopic. I discussed why I believe abortion not only to be immoral, but counterproductive to the human experience. You're not even trying to rebut me though if I'm to be honest.
