Purity: Preserve or Violate?

So, I was talking with my friends recently, and it occurred to me that I seem to keep an abnormal number of rather...maladjusted people as friends.

A point of conversation was the above question. If you see purity, do your urges pull towards preserving and protecting it, or violating and contaminating it?

For me, mine urges pull towards preserve. I dislike the violation of purity, or of innocence, or of those who cannot protect themselves, and I cannot understand those who get their jollies from the above.

What about everyone else?

I somehow cant find an instance where itll matter for me, I dont see anyone who is pure in this world anymore. People only seem clean, good and true but on the inside we are all tainted - it is a part of being human afterall it seems.

Seriousness aside and just looking at its entertainment value, it is annoying seeing these goody good creatures. It is of course just personal preference but thinking of the brady bunch... Id rather think of 'the brady bunch meets the demon hentai lord instead'

The question is way too general.

If I see a glass of pure water, I'll drink it rather than preserve it.

It really depends on the utility and aesthetics of the matter.

I have this ability in person to appear as pure or... well, how I really am as I want. It varies with who I'm talking to. Only my best friends know what I'm interested in, what I do with my partners, or even how I met my boyfriend.

But to the rest of the world I'm just a naive inexperienced girl who's very nice to them.

It has it's advantages, because I can get along with a wider range of people and more people feel comfortable around me then as well. I don't feel like I need to change anybody, I actually change my behavior around the person.

However, if I was to ever be in a relationship with a pure virgin (which is basically not likely) you better believe I'd violate them.

I think no matter how much you try to preserve it. It will get voilated at some point.

I think when it comes to sex we all find out at a young age. I think it all because it generates down a chain like when your taught sex ed. at say 12 the 12 year old tells the 11 year olds then the 11 year old tells the 10 year olds and so on..

I am an active dick. I have seriously gotten it down to an artform at this point. I can find two people who truly love eachother from across a resteraunt, go and ruin their night and get them to start fighting with barely any effort.

Hell just the other day I was at a resteraunt, and I saw a man bringing his woman in, who was smiling and being led in because she was wearing a blindfold. Interested I walked over and asked him what he was doing quietly. He told me that this was their third datye, and he had promised to take her somewhere special. I nodded and leaned over to the woman and said, "You're in Orlando's, don't let the atmosphere fool you, this place is cheap and the food sucks." then I walked off, knowing ful well I ruined the night.

I don't know WHY I do this, but I DO know it's fun as hell.

;| That doesn't really have anything to do with violating someones purity. That's just you bragging about something you probably never did in real life.

One, I did, and enjoyed it. And 2, Purity isn't always sexual. Purity of mind and body and situation. Obviously these two were going to share something special and pure, a night where they enjoyed eachother's company, at least for the time being, platonically. And I changed that.

I dont really care, if i do ever find my self in a decision where i have to decide between the 2, i would just do whatever i feel is right at the time.

And why would I think that? As a pessimist my ideals are to think the worst of every situation. I will continue to believe what satisfies me, the reality of the situation doesn't truly matter in my perspective.

Preserving purity is that really possible?

Purity can only exist if the impure also exists; since I don't think there is anything that can be considered "impure", that also means there is nothing "pure" and thus it cannot be preserved or violated.

I would want to preserve it if I saw it in someone.

You hurt others to entertain yourself. You feel no guilt over it whatsoever, and no hesitation. There's a word for that, but I just can't place my finger on it right now. You didn't happen to kill/torture animals when you were a kid, did you?

To answer Arizth's question, I would definitely try to protect it. And I would definitely not willingly take it.

I think an example would benefit this discussion: A 6-year-old child firmly believes in Santa Claus. If you want to preserve his innocence (I think that may be a more fitting word), you tell him that Santa is real. If you want to crack his innocence, you tell him that Santa isn't real, that it's just his parents.

Some may say that you should tell the child the truth, that he'll learn it eventually, but those people are forgetting one thing - being a child isn't about learning the truth and being an adult. It's about being a kid, and kids play make-believe. It's a part of growing up. Things that happen during a person's childhood can greatly affect the rest of his life.

If anybody truly wants to defile innocence, purity, he should start molesting kids. That's the best way to do it. And if that sounds horrible, if that sounds like something you could never do because it is too wrong, then you should stop trying to be a tough guy who gets his jollies from hurting others. Go big or go home, that's what they say, right?

NOTE: Saying this really screws up the impact of the last paragraph, but for the love God, do not molest kids. I repeat, do not molest kids.

But since this is a serious discussion, I'd say I'd go either way. I won't force them to give away their purity just for my own greed.
