What makes a good forum?YOUR opinion required!

Honestly, I don't think democracy would work out. Its not that it couldn't, its just that some situations don't require it. All we need is a couple people we know that would be could potential mods. Then we put them in a fiddle contest. The winner becomes a mod and gets a solid gold Fakku fiddle as a complimentary prize.

I think women make a good forum tbh. It might be just my imagination, but every popular forum that I've signed up with had a good number of women in it. And whenever the chics start to leave, the whole place turns to a ghost town. It happened to hentai paradize. There were so many cool women in that place (except for Brisby, the chic who claims she slept with her dog.). But as soon as all of them left, the forum went to shit. I still go there since I'm pretty cool with 100% of the people that are still there, but I can't help but to miss the good old days.

I don't know, perhaps it's just a variety of different people in general that make a good forum....but mostly women.

Ok so if the girls leave I'll have to remember to make a new account and pretend I'm a girl on that one so the forums don't go downhill.

a good community and practical guidelines make a good forum. the guidelines help support a user friendly forum that new comers and elders alike are easily accustomed too, and a good community helps enlighten anyone unknowing and offer constructive criticism to those who ask it. i dont know what to say either then that...

there are some people who do that in various forum.

acting like a girl. modifying their writing by adding cute words and expression,so people thought he was a girl.

their reason was simple. to get attention and to attract peoples liking on him.

Now that you mention it, there was a trend going on in one forum where guys woud make their screen name show up pink. Not to mention the members that make you wonder whether they're a girl or boy and you spend months trying to get them to tell you their gender. :roll:

2 years ago. i befriended with female user in some forum. at first,i think she(he) is a real girl. so i decided to get closer to her.

not long after i befriended with her(him),she(he) tells me that she(he) lived in the same city as me.

i always try to get to meet her(him),but she(he) always refuse.

then one day,when i'm going to a newly opened Internet Cafe,i see a skinny nerd guy wearing smelly shirt with ugly face browsing in front of me. (he cant see me)

i log in to the forum. i saw she(he) online at the time. after a few seconds,i'm going to the restroom (it's behind the ugly guy who's browsing in front of me),i accidentally see his monitor. that ugly guy was that female user. he chat sweetly with other member while chuckling like a shemale. i'm shocked and angered at the time.

i really wants to kill that nerd guy right there. how dare he disguise and manipulate people in the forum to gain profit. but the internet cafe was crowded at the time,so i must supress my emotion. damn it..

That kind of shit happens quite often, especially if its between people in different countries...

Also that you had the chance stop his ploy to you...

yes. that problem always,always,and always happen in Indonesia. specially in online games (the most popular is IdRO).

so many guy created female character in the game only to get attention and leeching money.

shamefully,i ever date a fake girl (in IdRO). i give her what she wants. i've spending over 3.000.000.000.000 zenny for her. in the end,she called me bastard and leave me. not long after that,my friends told me that it was a guy (i also angered at my friends because they're not telling it to me earlier)

i really,and always hate people who act like a girl and manipulating peoples. if only i met with that nerd guy,i'll rip apart his stomatch with my finger. seriously.

I'd like some more feedback from everyone, as you all know we are trying to make the forum better :D

I've played and I honestly never experienced that before. =P

I honestly think what makes a good forum is simply a good community. If you have members who are active and not tearing the forum apart then basically whatever you do to the forum itself you'll have loyal members who will keep on posting.

I don't think girls have much of anything to do with it.
