999 [from the writer of Ever 17]

I knew Akane was Zero before I was even halfway done with my first play-through (which ended with Junpei getting stabbed in the back). Although, in saying that, it almost feels like I've proven the existence of the "field". Akane was always quick to give out information on some seemingly absurd theories. It was really suspicious since she'd start on a theory with very little provocation unlike the others. Santa always seemed a bit suspicious, though I honestly never thought him to be working with Zero. I haven't finished all the endings, but it doesn't look like we find anything more about Lotus' children. Some of the routes I have a problem with. For instance, Junpei thinks nothing of grabbing the 9th Man's bracelet and getting rid of the knife he had if you go through that door. Also, Clover sees the second dead body, but apparently didn't get a good enough look to see if his left arm was real or not.

Anyway, great ending, particularly having Clover drive and Alice showing up out of nowhere. Will have to get a 3DS for the sequel. If 999 was that good, then I can barely imagine how good Ever17 will be. It's probably a good thing I've been putting it off while I go through other VNs.
