Eh, so I kinda have a problem with this thing. It didn't happen the last time I installed this game in my laptop, but for some reason, the screen freezes right after the battle scene. Well, not completely frozen, I can still access windows menu, but sprites won't move after my character hits an enemy. Any kind of help will be much appreciated.Still have this problem. Uninstall the game, clean registry and saves and restart computer.
Install again in different folder.
Disable AV or any kind of similar programs.
Use the compatibility / admin mode.
Test without the english patch installed if the game freezes in said scene.
Install english patch and try again.

Just tried everything you suggested. Thank you, I really appreciate your help, but unfortunately, it still doesn't work for me. Maybe this game hates me or something, I dunno. At the very least, someone finally responded.
Well, fuck this game. I'm off to Daitekoku then. At least it works.

I was wondering if anyone knew how to change the resolution of the game, I tried the fullscreen mode menu but it would auto reset to 640*480*32

Yeah, I'm getting a 403 - Forbidden on that image link, so I just went ahead and uploaded my old mf files on mega.
