Brave Soul employs an action-RPG system, with parties of up to four characters moving over scrolling maps. Walk to all parts of towns, interact with characters to get information, and purchase items to outfit your party. Combat with monsters is all in real time -- you select the enemies you want to attack with your sword or with ranged magic-based weapons, or fight with the convenient "auto combat mode." Outfit your party, choose your quest, and work through challenging multi-level dungeons. Using a unique mission-based game system, you must lead your beautiful companions on dozens of campaigns in the wide world of Brave Soul as you search for the secret of the Moon Goddess. But you have to lead them well if you're to find the keys that unlock their hearts.

I remember playing this...It was simple yet fun H-RPG, nice art too. Hm, Someone told me once that the artist is also the one who drew "Scrapped Princess".

Wow... I loved this game! played it on every difficulty and mode.. but realy, once you have that speed sword your practicly invinceble, it's recommended if you wanna get all the endings without waiting a very long time as this game is an RPG and you cant just speed through the seen parts.

I've got a problem, during the setup I get this message:
Setup cannot open the source file 'E:\brave_s\brave_s.exe'
That and my antivirus tells me I've got a trojan "Trojan horse SHeur.CPXZ" when I get to the point that the setup fails. My antivirus is detecting one of the files as a trojan I think, so that might be what's screwing up the setup but I don't know for sure.

So, I downloaded this game from a different source, but I seem to be having the same problems as some of the users here.

I don't understand what it is people are doing that are allowing them to play this game that I'm not. I've even tried burning the image files (both of them -_- ) onto a CD and proceeded from there - nothing.
This game looks like it'd be mega fun. Can anyone help me understand how they installed it, or bypassed this error?
I can't find a working solution ANYWHERE on the net for some reason . . . kind of weird considering I don't seem to be the only one with this problem.

maybe you should be doing what we all are doing...
use daemon tools dont burn it to a CD just use a virtual imulator on the original file you downloaded

Already tried it. I've used Daemon Tools with everything in the past and never had issues, its only with this game that the issues arose.
I mount the CUE image file, the setup auto-runs, I follow the instructions and begin installation, then, when its copying 'Thumbs.db' during the installation, an error message pops up saying:

Then I just tried unzipping the patch that came with the files into the folder everything else I downloaded was in. A little option box pops up, I enter my name and choose to go, screen goes black, and game shuts down immediately with a system message.

same issue/also tried alternate sources
probably some code issue that certain anti virus' dont like, but i cbf turnin em off and testing atm cos i already deleted my original dl, and i did the smart thing of cappin my net in 5 days =D
