Activision's business practices...are something else. I would say that they give customers what they want, but that would be far from the truth. They see how much they can get away without losing a significant amount of their userbase.(hell I think it's still expanding, but for most part a lot of their userbase is content with this, even willingly defending it militantly like you)
Activision is entirely to blame though. The over saturated, uncreative market that sees these enormous sells figures trying to emulate their success.
I'm a bit surprised that you can already pre-order the game, even with little to no footage of the game actually shown.
As much flack as it gets the CoD series is optimized well, and for the most part gives people what they want, even though they often are the lowest common denominator.
