@Minakami Ryuu: New to Dota 2.
Games like Dota really have a really tough learning curve and I really hate the community sometimes :/ but my reason for even playing it is that when I'm good at it, it really is tons of fun :D
I play League of Legends and Dota2 nowadays. Starting with LoL and continuing with Dota2 I realize how fast Dota2 really is. I mean they are bot good games but sometimes I really need one more than the other.
Tutorial's being worked on. It's a feature that's highly expected because, as you say, the learning curve is steep and high.
Me and everyone in the Dota community, even veteran players, are totally psyched for the Tutorials to come online, so we can judge and comment on what could be done better to ensure new players would be eased into the game much better than just being thrown into a pub game.
Because that's what we ever wanted in the first place. More players.
Dota 1 is awesome, with lots of pros. But its greatest con is
ACCESSIBILITY
You're required to have the wc3 frozen throne installed, then download the custom map made by icefrog. It isn't much of a problem in Asia. But in western countries, it's a big issue since not many still have access to wc3, not to mention the expansion pack.
Also, kids nowadays prefer higher, pristine graphics. Not clunky looking ones like the models of wc3. Which is another con of Dota (for most westerners),
GRAPHICS.
