I find Manta Style on CK to be situational. I often get it against enemy carries who do not have or get cleave, or teams that rely a lot of single-target spells. 6 Chaos Knights can make it pretty difficult to select the real one (unless CK also uses BKB: but even then, the illusions and Dota 2's shitty unit selection/control make it difficult to click properly).
I've been messing around still before jumping into real games. How viable is Chaos Knight with a Manta, Satanic, Battle Fury and Vanguard? Or is that build bad
In my opinion Manta is a good item for CK,but somehow it didn't give enough damage over a big cost.
Price: 5050
Gives(passive status):
26 Agility
10 Strength
10 Intelligence
15 Attack Speed
10% Movement Speed
I know that his blink damage increased as the number of images/illusions is increasing, but illusion from Manta is weaker than from CK's SS,also can easily killed by enemy nukers.
So I usually buy PT, BF and Sange and Yasha for CK(core item),Luxury item i buy Vladimir(if no one in my team buy it) and Desolator, for BKB,Soul ring is optional items for me,if the condition needed for me to buy it only.
Damage items on CK is redundant. Also, you should never get BF or Deso on CK.
And maybe you've missed the entire point about Manta on CK, but they function the same as your ult illusions, when you Rift someone you pull them as well, which is pretty much a death sentence to the target you pull. Four CKs hitting for 100% and two for 33%, if you're lucky and get crits on any of those the person you've rifted is dead.
Anyhow, there is no guide-line how to play a hero, but there are items which you should't get, such as pure damage items on CK.
If you wish to play a not-so-carryish CK you should get items like Drums, Vlads and Urn.

If you've bound them once to a group they'll be bound there for the rest of the game, you can also enable "auto-target summons" which will automatically put any summons in your current control group.
I wonder if Naix can "hop/infest" into illusions. I'm thinking on building Manta on Lifestealer, just for laugh.
Also question about Daedulus/Buriza and Skadi on Illusions, does it work?
I recall only Diffusal Blade & Radiance that works perfectly with illusion. Skull Basher, Lifesteal items, Maelstorm/Mjolnir & Desolator won't do anything for them.
No really, trying hard and tryhard are two different things. My point is, tryhard in very high is where you have good players copying and utilising everything they have learnt from professional players, resulting in a stagnating metagame, requiring you to play in the same way all the time to counter the opponents, resulting in a spiral of stagnation, effectively removing the epitome of dota - the unique lineups, strategies, and choices that can employed to win a game. And the reason to do so? To win. To get a high win rate. Which is no surprise, since the purpose of a matchmaking system is to climb to ladder and get to the top, which is through winning. If you dare try something different, which is what makes dota interesting, you have a high chance of losing horribly, bringing back to my point of very high games are pretty much the same, even though dota's fun comes from every game being different?
However, the original purpose of my post is to not rush you into thinking that dota is about "very high" matchmaking, but the games you see in high are actually a lot more about what makes dota, dota, than in high skilled games.

It works. Video is related:
Illusions cannot proc critical damage. The reason PL and Magina's hurt is because they have mana burn at the time (PL when he has Diffusal Blade). Magina's Mana burn deals the same mana damage they deal with the real thing, while PL's illusions quickly extinguish the enemy's mana, rendering them useless.
EDIT:
rechecked. Illusions DO proc critical damage, but it is reduced. the red counter that appears when you crit is BEFORE the damage is reduced.
meaning if your illusion dealt a 100 crit, it will appear so in screen, but the truth is that the damage is reduced according to how much damage the illu can dish out
Had some fun with Razor. He's a great bully and Static Linking is really fun.
I wonder when Valve gonna implement the wc3 dota 6.77 updates on dota2. Or perhaps, they gonna release Troll Warlord with new 6.77 changelog. This hero got tons of rumors now, instead of Medusa.
My first real game and it was a a win with no deaths. I was Juggernaut
It was with Jacob and Steve
*sigh* Man, i really want to play with the FAKKU guys. Too bad most of you live in America. Tried to play in the American servers once, it was the most shittiest dota moment in my entire life. I can't deal with lag. I become a total newbie when I play with lag D:
So addicted to Razor now. He's just fucking awesome when he hits lvl 5-7.
I actually find him a little boring honestly. He is just not for me. Much rather play toll characters like ss or ns or pa with satanic. Shit is op.
Well I know. Since he's really relying on mov speed and static linking. But it's amusing for me because Razor is a good anti-carry hero. Man I remember when BH chased me with minus 100 attack during early levels.
I prefer Spectre over PA lately. Cliffwalking escape is fun.

It is fun, I'll give you that. See, PA was the first hero I ever played back in the old days of not so good graphics so she was invisible all the damn time. You could literally stand next to someone and they would not notice you until you crit. And personally, I like luck being a factor in my play sometimes because it can be so satisfying. And I do play a damn good PA too, probably my best hero... Spectre, not so much.

Oh my the nostalgia. If you set the shadows to none, she's like invisible. Sadly the old PA dagger poison sucks badly hahaha.
There was an old Spectre too right? I forget which version when she was introduced, also she didn't have Spectral Dagger + Haunt back then.
edit 100 win yay. now time to get rid off that Drow's face out from my Most Successful Heroes :/
