Digimon World 3!!!

Following the Digimon World 2 thread....I made this. So, anyone who has anything to say regarding this classic(I think) rpg...spit it all. This may not be able to carve itself in people's memory, even for me, Suikoden 2 ranks much higher than this game...but I've always liked how the towns and all that are made so vividly. Plus, the bgm for towns are quite catchy too...I enjoyed all of them. The loading time is still an issue here but...this game shows much improvement compared to the previous digimon rpgs... What I liked most about this game is how they simplified(and imo, improved) the Digimon card battle system. I remember playing the Digimon digital card battle game and complained about how long it took me to win, just because the opponent chose to cling on their sorry lives...in this game there's no more delaying like that. Every round can end quickly and decisively, just like how I like it. The battle system...hmm, I don't think there's anything too bad or spectacular about it....just your old turn-based style...but ah, grinding can be a real pain....especially with certain digimons. That kinda sucks.... Too bad the game didn't allow us to duel between players....I had to make hand-drawn decks to duel with my friends. If only in-game dueling is possible, I bet I can have more people feel the might of my Digimon card-less decks...yeah, all program cards. Love the deck.

Ok now im interested in this because i played Digimon world 1 & 2, had the disks for my Playstation, is there any good PS1 emulators that will let me play this game at a good speed?

i think epsxe 1.7 will do just fine. that's what i use.

Ok. I got the emulator, but not sure how this one works since i use oldschool emulators more, and the roms i download for PS1 come in parts, that also is very confusing! I want to play too =c

come in parts? if it's rar...then just use 7zip or winrar to extract them. as for the emulator...just do the config...and it should work.

So that's why there was that world championship part in the FAQ's that I never got to see.... That sucks... I wanna fight those Strong tamers... why must every japan released game always have some things removed when it get's an US release...

yeah...but i think the europe release is not cut...maybe i'll try to get that someday...

although grinding is a super pain. damn...i want a remake of this game. with duel between players option...and many more.

Add In a Revamped battle animation, more cards, and more DNA Digivolution options(only 3 IIRC) for that remake... digimon just went downhill from here... world 4 never lived up to 3 and battle arena 2 was inferior to 1.. isn't it sad... They just don't make digimon games like digimon 1 anymore...

hahaha...yeah. you pretty much pointed it all...

as for rumble arena...i kinda liked the second one actually. it's just that the finishing move is less cool than the first one...

i remembered how much i enjoyed seeing my blackwargreymon slamming terra force in the enemy face in rumble arena 1....
