Anyone knows bout the tweaking status?

Well, I've been stalking the tweaking page everyday (yes, literally everyday lol) and the progress slowed down because EP6 and EP8 need a lot more work. But rest assured that work is being done. You may want to check this page every now and then since the progress is posted there.

There's currently a Beta version of those EPs and a 1080p release just for EP1. Better wait for the final release.

you should just start reading ep 1-4, they are pretty much done and edited well. Also, they are significantly smaller in size compared to 1 ep of 1080p version. ep 5-8 is almost done as well, it's probably only month away from being finished, so definitely check it out now.

I already read them quite a long time ago~ Planning on reread and tackle all in one go, that's why I waited for ful tweaks.

No. It was recently mentioned a video preview but as for those OP replacements I'm pretty sure it wasn't mentioned anything.

Preview for the Nocturne patch released. For those that don't know, the Nocturne patch is the tweaked patch for Umineko no Naku Koro ni Chiru (EP5 - EP8).
Not posting the video here because of spoilers.

Correct me if I'm wrong then... With the Nocturne patch out, is the visual novel fully "converted" to the PS3/PSP sprites and voices?

No. There are other sprites (two I think) that still need work but it doesn't seem that they'll be worked on anytime soon. It also seems there is some BG work to be done on the Rondo patch.
Mentioning the Rondo patch, it's also planned to make a text box like the Nocturne patch in the future.

Not that this will make me stop from reading Umineko again when the first Nocturne patch is out ahah

It is pretty much done as far as I could see. I am even playing it right now using those tweaks.

I have no idea about the next release, though.

I think that only the text wrapping isn't finished, which the team may or may not get to eventually. Other than that, everything else should be finished as Harontiar has mentioned.
