Epic Boss Battles

If there was a topic like this already, then i apologize for making another one.
Just any game. Any boss that was like amazing or just epic. If it can a spoiler, please put it in the spoiler tab. I just thought of this because I just played MGS HD.

Metal Gear Solid 3-The Boss
Since the PS2 Snake Eater, this was my favorite boss fight in the game. I get Snake naked, i don't war cameo for this fight. It just seems right.

Granted, it's kind of easy compared to most boss fights, ESPECIALLY compared to most final boss fights, but dammit, Kingdom Hearts 2's last battle was just epic in its own right! The acrobatics, the music, THAT moment, all made it a fight to remember.

That was a pretty good boss fight. I remember when both guys had to deflect all those lasers. I THOUGHT you only had to press Triangle only because like that is the action button, so i died -.-. I then saw i had to press both.

That guy didn't defeat sephiroth yet...

OT: I like the boss battle in that video. Plus the epic and really hard battle against Sephiroth....... And final fantasy 13 >.>

@mochure, and artcellrox, I loved FF13. That game gets so much unnecessary hates from whiny pricks who complained about EVERY little thing they could find. No, It wasn't perfect, but it was still a damn good RPG.

My list of Epic boss battles:
Spoiler:

-Anytime when you fight Sephiroth as a boss. I dare anyone to deny this(Not including that game where the FF characters were like wrestlers or some shit).

-Pretty much every boss battle from Demons/Dark Souls.

-Granberia from Monster Girl Quest(This was the first time I forgot I was playing a hentai rpg & was fully engaged with trying to survive a hopelessly powerful foe. Plus, her theme music was fucking epic.)

-Kessler from inFAMOUS on hard mode(Please someone back me up on this)

-Jeanne boss battles from Bayonetta(While every fight on Bayonetta was epic to me, the Jeanne battles stood out among them)

-Final boss from GTAIV(regardless of your reason for being there, you were one pissed off guy vs. like 20 doods in a warehouse armed with machine guns)

-Celest from Mirrors Edge(Really rewarding stuff)

-Dead Space 2 final boss on Hardcore mode(on normal mode this just seems like a useless stepping stone to your effed up ending, but on the TRUE hardcore mode, this boss battle is a fucking nightmare waiting to eat you alive & spit your fucking hard earned hours into the toilet. Not only was it difficult, you had REAL life stakes in it. If you die, you could possibly have to grind several hours just to get another attempt at this doom hole. That was quite possibly the scariest & most panicked horror boss fight Ive ever had).

-Terumi from Blazblue continuum shifts true ending(Actually, I dont need to list why. Anyone who loves Blazblue enough to play it already knows).

-Thorn from Kingdom Hearts 2(This boss fight alone made me SOOOO happy I bought the game on release day)

-Ultimecia from Final Fantasy VIII(Pretty damn epic. Youtube it if you dont believe me)

-Final boss from Megaman Legends 2-or Rockman Dash 2-(I cant remember her name but she was damn hard & I believe at one point she fucking blew up the lab we were fighting in & became even more of a hard ass boss to kill)

-Corbenik from .Hack Quarantine(Desperate fight that makes you piss your pants cause you do it without your trusty bracelet, all coming together for a badass ending)

-Yazmat from Final Fantasy XII(Oh my fucking god. That is all).

-Gilgamesh from Final Fantasy V & XII(Epic fight that took brains & had epic music to go with it).

-Zone of the Enders boss(I pissed with myself that I forgot her name but she had pink? hair & a was a total badass.)

-The Collector & Negativitron from LBP 1 & 2

Thats all that I can think of atm.

I just platinumed inFamous last week while playing on the evil path and Hard difficulty and thought he was a bit of a pushover once you knew how to fight him, I only died like 6 times fighting against him, I don't know how people said he was a pain. I just generally kept my distance while waited for him to get tired whenever he finishes his attacks then shot barrages of maximumed powered megawatt hammers on him, damage does wonders before he recovers.

Thats all that I can think of atm.


If you're referring to Viola, she was a better boss in part 2 IMO, but the true boss battle that was marked in my Epic Boss fight for ZOE was this fight against Nohman. A boss fight where you have no weapons, but your piloting skills to help you against this fight, can't wait to replay this game once more in HD next year.

I've been asking myself the same thing for years too, even though Hideo announced Metal Gear Solid 5 a while back, but there has been no announcement so far about a new ZOE. Colour me disappointed, but I'm still wishing for one. A next gen ZOE IS going to be epic graphic wise.
