My ship got blown up! FUCK! D=< But damn, they've really messed some things up with this game compared to how it was back in the days; first of all, why the hell can't you see the skills you get when you create your character!? Or do all characters suddenly start out with the same set of skills? In either case, it's fucking ridiculous And annoying.
if im not mistaken you're not starting off with any skills at all, only vaguely adjusted stats (which doesnt matter because lol neural remap)
you get double the training speed until you reach 1.6m skillpts (was it?) and your basic set of skills you get are in form of skillbooks as questrewards depending on what tutorial/career arc you're doing
if you want another set of free skills do some other career tutorial or just buy them, if you wanna have some pointers in the right direction you can pm me for ingame or messanger info
and why be mad, blowing up at this state costs no money

I'm mad cuz I gotta do the quest in less than 4 hours to get my reward, but the other ships I can use isn't good enough, and it will take me 7 hours to get Frigate III skill to use the better ships D= Also, has the ships been nerfed like hell? I can't fit more than 1 gun and 1 afterburner on my ships, then it runs out of CPU -_-'
Goddammit, this image is expressing how I feel right now.
Battle-cruiser pwns!
DRAKE FTW!
edit. Ethil if your looking for a corp with some good chaps talk to..... * strains memory* Lenaras. tell him alistar sent you with a recomendation. there a fun corp to fly with
I'm looking into getting this to play over the summer, is it worth it?
Even not being so into it myself yet, I can say that if you have the time and the patience, it is definitely worth it. Though if ur only gonna play during the summer... then maybe not as much, this is a game that takes time =S
Eve Online.. Playing it from time to time, though lately haven't been online since my corp is currently at war with another one and I don't want to risk my precious Myrmidon, Hulk nor Dominix. I don't bother with the insurance stuff because that doesn't cover the fittings and such..
Love the myrmidon though for T2 missions. Send the little T2 Medium Scout drones to kill some random rats at speed of 4-5km/s. Add up to the ship's 18k of armor.
+ Love the community, lot more mature then on other MMO's.. Though being said, that game's too complex for the ADD youngsters so they tend to give up in matter of days or hours.

This is so true, many excellent MMOers playing this game, I guess people only out for easy PvPing and ganking noobs dun like a game that takes so much time. I love the... ruthlessness of the game though =D You can get blown to pieces, scammed, tricked, camped, killed and whatnot, but that is a part of the game. If you can't handle the (absence) of rules in the EVE universe, then you're not fit for the game =P
Must post this video, cuz it represents the A Man's Epic Romance of this game =D

That could happen.. but you need to be really lucky.
Been thinking that but I still want to improve my character's skills before moving to the PVP. At least improved armor tanking + Reinforcement and Elite Drone Control (about 50d or so from the EDC).
+ my corporation is heavily based on industry / mining / mission running. Infact we have about 3-6 characters that are capable to operate T2 battleships. I'm just widening my character's operation capabilities from industry to long-range drone operated support unit.

Even if this specific thing does not happen, things alike (or far from but still just as awesome) might. Heck, Empires that takes years to build in EVE can fall in a day, missing one subtle movement in the market can for a trader mean the difference between a slight increase or complete bankruptcy. Dying is more than just a pain in the ass for lazy people! This is what makes it cool to me.

True, and once they release the new patch.. by god.. a galaxy wide war will errupt.

If the rest of the guys in your corp ain't too carebear you can easily get a small fleet of RR/Neut Domis and camp a gate, with a few guys in cheap fit tackle frigates.
Tbh if you've got most of your advanced tanking skills at 3-4 and basics at 4-5 you should be alright just make up your lack of skill in numbers and epic RR.
My trial period is just over, so now I'm gotta pay to play T_T
you gonna do that? seeing as it was both a trial account (aka can't do crap capn account) and you taking the most boring character progression for a new player I'd imagine you'd be like fuck zat

Meh, I will, probably =P Besides, now I've shortened my training time like hell already, time to start focusing on fun skills =)
