More news for the remake. The site http://5pb.jp/games/ever17/ has been updated and the first thing that I saw left me speechless. You'll understand if you open the site. Be aware of possible spoilers when you open it

Also, on the characters section there's some voice samples and CGs. It seems that the cast is really the same though there are some slight differences.

I like the CGs but the models not that much.

Same opinion, yay for CGs, but the models are questionable because they lack what their original looks envoyed. The Tsugumi one especially bothers me..

Didn't click it yet, and not looking at the screen while I type, so I still don't know what's in it. How much will the effect of the game diminish if I click on this and decide to play someday?

Let's just say that it may cause you some confusion about some things and that you may be able figure out something before you go "Oh shit!". At least, that's what I think.

Also, off-topic, how would you rank 999 compared to the original Ever17?

Not that much but I'm pretty sure that it won't keep you from enjoying the game.

I still didn't play 999 so unfortunately I can't answer that. But I've read that if you play 999 before Ever 17 or Ever 17 before 999, you won't enjoy the second game that much because the stories are kind of similar.

I am running Vista and i've tried both the Torrent and megaupload files.

As far as I remember the the game is composed by 4 CD's. That means that there's 4 CD images in your folder. Mount CD 1, start installing the game and when the installer requires another CD (CD 2 for example) just mount CD 2 and so on until you finish. You don't need a crack to play this game.

Hadn't even heard of 999 til now. If you rate it close to E17 then I'll have to check it out.

It's written by the same guy who wrote Ever17. So, automatically I also "invested" most of my time playing and getting all the endings. :D

So, if you claim you're a fan of Ever17, better play 999 ASAP. lol
