Kara no Shoujo - 殻ノ少女

I'm guessing the biggest change was the voice stuff, which doesn't really matter to me. Other than that maybe they might do something about some of the sex scenes or violence? I can't really say. Hopefully it isn't anything too drastic, since I actually want to purchase this. All I know is that the BGM better make it in untouched.

Also, in regards to not getting voices it is probably safe to say that MG wasn't at fault this time. Correct me if I am wrong, but doesn't Innocent Grey license everything they do? So even they don't technically own the voice work in the game they published. That all belongs to the agencies the actors belong to. MG most likely either went to the agency or agencies that does/do hold the voice rights and they wanted far too much for a game that might sell 1,000 - 1,500 copies if they are lucky, or they deemed it too unprofitable to even proceed with trying to acquire voices for a game with such a big cast in such a risky market. There are even fans that will buy eroge based solely on the voice roster alone, which would never happen in a large enough number here to justify voices. In addition to that Even Innocent Grey probably hurt for a little bit after paying the cost for voices. Doesn't they way the voice actor pay scale over their go something like $2.00-$1.20/per line for moderately popular voice actors. Given a whole script the length of KnS that can add up really fast. I can see why some people are angry, but it also makes a ton of sense to not have voices from a business standpoint.

TLDR: It is way to expensive for a company like MG to try to get voices from someone who may be asking too much for them since the western & eastern markets are so different.

Kouryuu’s got a post on things coming up soon, but I’ll get this out of the way now: This isn’t a case of “MG is poor/trying to spur sales” with the voices. This is a case of the agency that owns the track remembering the anime boom and refusing to negotiate to the realities of the current market.

The game is absolutely wonderful even without them. Neither our editor nor our tester who hadn’t experienced them before felt anything was missing and thoroughly enjoyed the game.

As for why they were removed, that’s one of the key points we’ll be discussing in the changes post later this week. Though I suppose I should say this for now:

This is not a matter of “You will get voices after # sales”. There will be no voices.

Nah, there’s no alteration of the gore. Only changes to the CG were de-censoring them =D

Ah, so maybe it was just some engine tweaks or things that needed a quick edit in the TL department? Or perhaps the changes refer to the fact that we will be getting it without mosaics, which is nice. If so, that is dandy. Shutupandtakemymoney MG, and let us hope that Cartagra won't be too far off in the distance.

Perhaps this time around I will buy it, aslong as someone makes a voice patch

the chances are high that someone will there is already a big demand for one

I'm worried about that new engine that MG brewed. Since they don't have rights for voices, they might have just skipped any voice support from the original engine. If that's the case, creating voice patch might be very difficult.
