Once again. Direct. A direct sequel is a sequel that would have the same characters and or continue where the previous left off. I am not even saying that Curtain Call isn't a sequel. It's just not a direct sequel which is what I said in the very beginning.

In fact, if I wanted too I could even argue that it isn't a sequel at all. It's more of a spin-off. Even Wiki classifies Curtain Call as a spin-off.

I don't trust wiki on anything, since it can be edited by just anyone. But that's besides the point. It is a continuation of the previous one. But just not following the original character.

He said that "there is no direct sequel". Just as you are sure that there is a 'sequel' in Curtain Call, I am guessing he knows what you are talking about when he mentioned the words 'direct sequel'.

Talking about sequels, I felt that it is quite lol to classify a second work as a sequel, when the first is about 'A CERTAIN BAND'. When the second one is about 'ANOTHER BAND'.

Yes, I do know what he means. It does have the words KiraKira in it and the same basic premise, but there are no original characters and it is not going to follow any of the plot of the previous except for "Up and coming teen J-band". That's puts it in the spin-off category in my opinion.

I seriously don't understand how people are confusing my posts as saying "There is no sequel, you guys are wrong". I clearly said in the beginning as you pointed out "There is no direct sequel". I even took the time to define it.



I think that's why Wiki is classifying Curtain Call as a spin-off and not a sequel. It's the same premise, but has little to no correlation to the original.

I will call it a sequel in the sense that it has the same art work and is made by the same company, but that's it.

And possible relations to the original characters?

There is the sister thing, but she never really had much to do with the original. For me to call Curtain Call a direct sequel it would have to have the original characters and pick up where the last one left off. It does none of those. It's an entirely new band, protagonist and follows none of the the plot from the last one except for like I said before "Up and coming J-band". The main point however is that there are no original characters and it doesn't continue the previous story. I am talking about the original four. A side character now being a main character in the Curtain Call doesn't make it a sequel in my opinion.

Hmmmmm?I don't know about sequals in Visual Novels but in movies they are called sequals even if the cast is sometimes new but the general idea or old cast members had anything to do with it.I'm not an expert about VS so *shrug*

OMG i didn't say i don't use AGTH and ATLAS!
I used it on 5 untranslated games FYI. Just asking if there are more games with crossdressers on them thats funny to the ones that have already played.
I didn't put any preferences so I'm at fault but i assumed when i said "any VS" means japanese or translated ones
