Lack of voices wasn't quite as bad as I had imagined.
I'd go so far as to say it's totally irrelevant 90% of the time. Barring H-Scenes, I never listen to more than 2-3 words of any voiced text unless it's Engrish,- within any VN. The only time I missed it was in the battles when you used an Ougi, it was extremely obvious that there was intended to be lots of audio supplimenting that sparse graphic. I hope that the final release tightens that up a bit so it doesn't feel like we're waiting on something that doesn't exist.
In any event, the demo is probably around 2.5 hours. Music is excellent, visuals are top tier. It does the same thing for text based combat as FSN, where it draws arcs across the screen accompanied by SFX to supplement the action. Game starts out in modern japan and the hero gets dumped in ancient china after 15-20min of gameplay, and the Yellow Turban Rebellion is in full swing. It's really enough to whet your appetite and leave you wanting more. I was totally going "NOOOOOO!" when I got the "Thank you for Playing this Trial" splash screen.
There is no correlation between the game and the anime whatsoever, at least plotwise. Of the main characters, the demo introduces Kanu, Chouhi, Shokatsuryou, and Chouun, and none of them meet under the same circumstances that they met in the anime... so if you're one of those "I'll watch the movie" types, it'll be completely new content to you.
