How can anyone possibly find any fun in repeatedly using the same attacks?
well I can't speak for anybody else ,but I do it just to troll other people...cause the raging hate mail is so fucking funny sometimes ,and the "arguments" that ensue are just amazing
Correct, if used right that is. Tokido did it against PR Rog on SSFIV. Tokido used a lot of air fireballs to keep PR at bay, once PR got a life lead, he would then just try to evade and play safe.
Idunno, I guess I'm more a "fly by the seat of your pants" kind of player. I don't like memorizing combos or spamming attacks. I'll just learn the game's tactics, the character's moves and fighting style, and adjust my tactics/team depending on my opponent.
That's not a good way to play. Every needs their bread and butter combos and then adjust those combos to certain characters you play. That's how you maximize damage. If you're not getting combos and just getting some little jabs in and smaller damages in, you're not using your character effectively.
I know my character's BnB combos. I try to maximize my damage, generally getting at least 550k damage with a hit confirm. If you don't learn those combos, you'll be hard pressed to even do 300k. I'm trying to learn Tron's BnB, and I'm not doing well right now, only getting 350k, and that damage was hard to do.
As for character moves and fighting styles, it depends how you play the character. I play my Deadpool as a zoner and obviously spam his guns, but he can perfectly rushdown if I need him to. My Hulk tends to play a little more defensively than some as I try to abuse his Hyper Armor as much as I can. However, if I see the opponent also playing cautiously, I'll obviously need to change to a more offensive Hulk.
Even then, I know their BnB, and getting that down always starts with practice.
