The original gloval for part 2 shouldn't have anything unless you've made a save in the game already. So you can just scrap it. If you want, just copy it into a backup folder or something.
I did it before the merge and didn't have any problems. I'm not sure if doing it after the merge makes a difference, but it's worth a shot.

That happens. You can only save at the "Save here" points in the game. Saving anywhere else just screws up the save, and it won't work...

Meh I know :3 reinstalled and it's fine now. Strange part is that I tried saving at the save location.

Alright, well it seems I've run into a bit of an issue with the game. I did the conversion as well as importing the saved data, and the game starts from that point successfully; however for some reason whenever I try to go to the Noah Region the game crashes.
Could someone please give me a little help?

Fixed it. I am an idiot...or maybe I can blame it being 3am. I opened the patch read-me followed the instructions to the letter and now the game works fine. XP

Just keep using them, there's a small chance for it to appears. I got Sylph one even before finishing part1 after about 20 times of summoning and still haven't gotten Gnome one yet.

Just finished it too , and just realised i spent the whole day too lol , anyways ... as i was flipping trough the "extras" menu as seen in the main menu i saw something called spinoff storys , which sounds pretty entertaining so i started a few ofc. but all of them seem to crash after a few lines of talk with a really wierd error window. Didn't try all of them yet but all i tried so far crashed like that, anyone got an idea on how to fix it? or is there no solution yet?

Combine Part 1 arc.nsa file and you should be able to view the bonus stories. Do this by copying MQ1 arc.nsa file into part 2, overwriting it. Then open MQ2 and go to Extras>Part 1 Conversion. And you're done.
Since this has been asked a few times, I'll put it on the front page.
Edit: Also re-organized the front page. I think it looks cleaner and nicer now.
