Here is the English version of the trial, enjoy. It appears that the game developer's site recently got revamped, and I can't direct link to the download of the trial version any more.

Why do you need the English patch for Chapter 1? Both links on the front page offer English pre-patched version of Chapter 1.

I have not encountered this issue, nor have anyone else reported it to me. It might have something to do with the fact that you're running this on Wineskin on Mac OSX. If you can, try running it on a different OS and see if the problem persists. I honestly don't know any other way to solve the problem.
