[MU] Yandere

The way I see it is that the whole point of his logic and attitude is to make the yanderes go crazy

So I'm not the only one who felt that. I tried this game recently out of curiosity, and dropped it ten minutes after starting, this b*stard and his conceited attitude really grated on my nerves.

At the very least, does he die an inglorious death or suffers some sort of retribution? If so, then I might as well try the game once more. :D

I found myself really digging the song at the end for some reason. Someone wanna help me out with the name of it?

You know what, I gave it some thought and I can't help but feel disappointed a bit. I always felt that a MC that was just overall a good person getting the yandere card was more interesting and tragic. But when the MC is this much of a dick I sympathize with the girls more than this pricks fate. I felt his death was karma having its due. Nevertheless I would be willing to try another Yandere VN given it had the right premise.

For a VN of this scope I feel like its about right though. Still want to know the ending credits song.

@Recker5 I don't know if you already found the name or not, but for those who are interested in the ending's name it's RE:SET by SENTIVE( the opening is called Daisuki by SENTIVE too). In the opening's case I'm pretty sure that's the real name because it appeared during the ending credits, as for the ending theme itself I've found it in youtube uploaded by Beato Ushiromiya I don't know how he got the name though... It didn't appeared in the credits.

Now, for those who already read all the routes or don't mind being spoiled I recommend reading Dark Eye Translations' Postmortem it really does make sense and explains some things like Yuumi's lackluster story even if it's just a guess. And also he's working on Kurukuru Fanatic another yandere theme visual novel (it's currently at 40%).

Sorry if I'm just repeating something already asked but I'm having problems when installing, its saying that some parts are missing (or so im guessing as I dont have the language the installer is in apparently and I only get random symbols) and when starting I get 3 windows and an error message. I'm using daemon tools lite and Amorim's file, can anyone tell my what is happening? (before anyone asks, yes jap locale and win 7)

@DaSheepdogg87 I don't know why you are even having problems installing this game. Download amorim's file, extract (pass 4fakku) and mount YANDERE.cue. It will auto-run and prompt you if you want to run the installer... Screenshot the error maybe? Have you tried running with administrator privileges or run it with aplocale?

1-3 are errors when I'm installing. 4 is when I launch the game itself. I've tried jap locale and applocale with the same results and daemon tools has admin priv and so did the installer when I mounted it

I don't know why you are getting those errors... The only thing that came to mind was that your download was corrupt, but I've tried a solution instead of installing it via the installer:

• First mount YANDERE.cue it may prompt you the auto-installer just ignore it.

• Go to My PC (Computer, etc. where your local drives and BD/DVD rom are).

• Open it and copy the folder NEKO20 to wherever you like.

• Test it (run Yandere.exe).

• If it worked download the english patch, extract and replace Data.xp3 from the NEKO20 folder.

That way of doing it is basically the same thing as using the installer, and this isnt the first download that I've done, this is in fact the 3rd, I'm starting to think that there is something wrong with my computer itself but no other vn out of all the others I have, have ever given me this problem before so thats why I asked on here.

I know that is the same way as using the installer, but your installation had errors so I suggested a way around it and you haven't said if it worked or not...

Check if your system locale is really in japanese. Also check your regional settings.
Your kind of issue is related to users that do not have their system locale in japanese. Also, the fact that you see symbols instead of actual letters means that your system isn't able to interpret what the application is requiring. This supports what I said about your system locale.

I figured out my problem, I didn't have japanese language support on my laptop for some odd reason (it got wiped somehow? region change is still in place), I'm surprised every other vn installed correctly. I downloaded what was needed and now it's installed properly.... I feel like I've spent too much time on an obvious clue .-.

Okay so when I chose new game, it just started with text, no intro or anything. Did anyone else find this weird?

I haven't played all the way through any of the routes yet though. I like Maki the most though.
